Adobe expands India innovation footprint with new Noida campus
New facility will house over 700 employees as Adobe deepens its AI, engineering and product development operations in the country.
Adobe has opened a new office campus in Noida as the company continues expanding its India engineering and innovation operations. The facility will house over 700 employees across engineering and customer-focused roles.
The new site is Adobe’s seventh office in India and third in Uttar Pradesh.
The expansion comes as global technology companies continue increasing investments in India-led product development, AI engineering and digital infrastructure operations.
Adobe said India now represents its “largest workforce outside the United States”, with over 8,000 employees working across the country.
The company also said India contributes to over “one-third of its overall innovation efforts”, reflecting the role of local engineering and product teams within Adobe’s global operations.
Adobe began operations in India in 1997 as an engineering and R&D centre. Over the years, the company has expanded its India presence across engineering, product development, support operations and enterprise functions. The new Noida campus will support collaboration and AI-driven product development workflows.
Adobe's growing India footprint also has direct implications for its reseller and distributor network in the country. The company operates its Partner Connection Program across India, with channel tiers ranging from Registered and Certified to Gold and Platinum and works with authorised distributors such as Ingram Micro to route licensing to resellers serving commercial, government and education customers.
As Adobe expands its AI and Document Cloud portfolio with offerings, including Firefly, Acrobat and Creative Cloud, partners can support deployment, integration and enterprise adoption across midmarket and large customer environments.
According to Adobe, the facility includes technology-enabled workspaces to support co-creation, team collaboration and employee engagement.
Abhigyan Modi, Country Manager for Adobe India and Senior Vice President of Document Cloud, said India teams continue to play an important role in the company’s AI and innovation strategy.
He added that the new Noida office reflects Adobe’s continued investment in expanding innovation capabilities from India.
The expansion also aligns with the company’s focus on AI and agentic technologies across its product portfolio.
Expanding AI and ecosystem presence
In India, the company has also been expanding ecosystem and talent-development initiatives tied to AI adoption and digital creativity.
Earlier this year, Adobe announced free access to tools including Firefly, Photoshop and Acrobat for students across accredited institutions. The company also partnered with Bharti Airtel to provide Adobe Express Premium access to Airtel customers across India.
The Noida expansion follows additional leadership and operational investments made by Adobe in India over recent months.
The company recently appointed Manoj Kohli to its International Advisory Board. Adobe also strengthened its India leadership team with the appointments of Shamik Basu in the creative products group and Manoj Nagpal in global delivery center and shared services.
India continues to emerge as a major engineering and innovation hub for multinational software and cloud companies, particularly as organisations accelerate AI product development and digital transformation initiatives.
India’s combination of engineering talent, scale and growing digital ecosystem is making the country central to long-term product and innovation strategies.
