AMD builds partner expertise in AI and infrastructure through inaugural Accelerate Partner Presales Forum
The chipmaker brought together over 100 partner pre-sales professionals and solution architects as it looks to strengthen channel capabilities around AI, cloud and data centre technologies.
AMD is building a community of partner pre-sales specialists through its inaugural Accelerate Partner Presales Forum as enterprises seek guidance on AI adoption and infrastructure modernisation.
The company brings together more than 100 partner pre-sales professionals, technical consultants and solution architects from across India for discussions around AI, infrastructure technologies and customer opportunities.
“Thrilled to share the success of the inaugural AMD Accelerate – Partner Presales Forum, bringing together over 100 pre-sales professionals from across India,” AMD’s lead-SMB, Mid Market, Channel Marketing, Piush Sehgl, said in a LinkedIn post.
“Over two days, we drove meaningful conversations around AMD innovation, AI-led opportunities, and customer-centric solutions, reinforcing the pivotal role pre-sales teams play in accelerating adoption and unlocking business growth,” he added.
The initiative reflects AMD's growing focus on building deeper technical expertise within its partner ecosystem as organisations increasingly seek guidance on AI adoption, infrastructure planning and workload optimisation.
Pre-sales teams are often among the first points of contact for customers evaluating new technologies. Their role has expanded beyond product recommendations to helping organisations assess business requirements, design infrastructure strategies and navigate technology investments.
AMD said the forum was designed to help partners better understand emerging customer requirements while strengthening their knowledge of the company's technology roadmap across commercial computing, AI, high-performance computing and enterprise infrastructure.
The programme included technical sessions, hands-on learning and discussions around enterprise deployment scenarios. Participants explored topics, including infrastructure optimisation, workload performance, cloud environments and AI deployment strategies.
As enterprises move from AI experimentation to implementation, channel partners are being asked to support infrastructure planning, deployment decisions and long-term optimisation efforts. This has created new opportunities for technically skilled partners capable of translating complex technologies into business outcomes.
AMD also used the event to showcase developments across its AI and data centre portfolio and discuss how partners can address evolving customer requirements in an increasingly AI-driven market.
Creating AMD partner presales ambassadors
A key objective of the initiative is the creation of a network of AMD Partner Presales Ambassadors across India. The company plans to build a community of technical specialists who can support customers throughout their technology adoption journeys while driving awareness of AMD-based solutions.
Pankaj Dessai, Director – Commercial Channel and SMB, AMD India, said the forum reinforced the important role partner pre-sales teams play in accelerating technology adoption, enabling customer success and driving business growth.
According to Dessai, AMD intends to continue expanding the community of Partner Presales Ambassadors to help partners create greater value for customers and support AI-led transformation initiatives across industries.
The event also served as a platform for collaboration between AMD, its channel partners and OEM partners. Participants exchanged experiences, discussed customer expectations and shared perspectives on emerging opportunities across AI, cloud and enterprise infrastructure markets.
The focus on technical enablement comes at a time when enterprise demand for AI-ready infrastructure continues to grow.
Organisations are evaluating hardware platforms, data centre architectures and computing environments capable of supporting AI workloads while balancing performance, efficiency and cost considerations.
For channel partners, this shift is creating demand for deeper technical expertise and consultative capabilities. Vendors across the technology ecosystem have been increasing investments in training, certification and enablement programmes to help partners capture emerging AI opportunities.
As enterprise AI adoption accelerates, the company expects partner pre-sales teams to play a larger role in helping customers evaluate technologies, design infrastructure strategies and deploy solutions aligned with business requirements.
