Anaplan expands India role with multi-million-dollar APAC investment
New Gurugram facility becomes Anaplan’s largest global office and brings together product, engineering, go-to-market and customer teams.
Anaplan has expanded its India operations with a multi-million-dollar investment that positions Gurugram as a strategic hub for product development, AI, go-to-market and enterprise customer engagement across its Asia-Pacific (APAC) business.
The company has opened a 42,000-square-foot facility in Gurugram, its largest office globally, with capacity for up to 500 employees.
Created in partnership with DLF India, the facility brings together Anaplan’s engineering, product development, go-to-market, customer support, marketing and human resources teams.
The investment comes as APAC emerges as Anaplan’s fastest-growing region for net new bookings, strengthening the company’s focus on the region and expanding the role India plays in its growth and product strategy.
Anaplan’s India teams will contribute to the company’s global product roadmap, with a particular focus on advancing its Agentic Enterprise framework and AI capabilities.
The facility also houses Anaplan’s first Customer Experience Center in APAC, giving enterprise leaders an environment to explore the company’s scenario-planning capabilities and test role-based AI agents.
The centre is designed to demonstrate how AI can support decision-making and resource allocation across functions including finance, supply chain, HR and sales.
“APAC is critical to Anaplan’s growth, ongoing innovation and AI leadership,” said Charles Gottdiener, CEO, Anaplan. “As enterprises across the region navigate increasing complexity, they need a decision infrastructure that allows them to move with speed, precision and confidence.”
India investment follows APAC growth
Anaplan now has over 500 employees across nine APAC offices. The company has also added data centres in India, Indonesia and Singapore to support local data residency.
It has over 500 customers across the region, including Bridgestone, Cebu Pacific, Canva, Mitsui Chemicals, Mizuho Bank and Omron Healthcare. These customers use Anaplan across finance, supply chain, sales and workforce planning.
In India, the company counts Deepak Fertilizers, Alkem, Daimler Commercial Vehicles and Hero FinCorp among its customers.
“The caliber of India’s engineering and AI talent is world-class,” said Sanket Deodhar, India Head, Anaplan. “Our customers ... span a number of India’s most critical industries, reflecting the massive reach of our platform across the country’s economy.”
Anaplan said its Gurugram teams will help build and deliver the agentic AI capabilities that support enterprises as they manage complex planning and resource-allocation decisions.
