CenturyPly cuts IT workload by 30 percent with ManageEngine as enterprises move to unified IT platforms
It reflects growing enterprise focus on platform consolidation, automation and unified IT operations across distributed environments.
Indian building materials manufacturer Century Plyboards has consolidated its fragmented IT operations on a unified platform from ManageEngine, as enterprises move towards integrated IT environments to simplify operations, improve visibility and reduce support overhead.
The deployment comes as CenturyPly manages growing operational complexity across multiple manufacturing plants and regional offices while onboarding nearly 100 employees every month.
The company has unified identity management, endpoint operations, security auditing and service management into a single integrated platform.
This has helped CenturyPly reduce IT support workload by 30 percent, eliminate over 50 daily password-related help desk calls, and automate onboarding workflows for 70 to 100 employees every month.
The deployment highlights how enterprises are consolidating fragmented IT environments to improve operational efficiency, strengthen cybersecurity visibility and reduce dependency on manual processes.
Such projects are also likely to create opportunities for channel partners around platform integration, identity governance, endpoint management and ongoing IT services as customers look to streamline operations on unified platforms.
Before the deployment, CenturyPly’s IT teams were handling multiple repetitive operational tasks daily.
Engineers manually created Active Directory profiles and email accounts for new employees while coordinating onboarding requests between HR and IT teams.
The organisation was managing over 40 to 50 password reset requests every day, adding pressure on support teams and slowing routine IT operations.
At the same time, the company lacked real-time visibility into security incidents across storage environments, forcing teams to rely on reactive measures such as backup restoration after incidents occurred.
To address these operational bottlenecks, CenturyPly implemented ManageEngine AD360, ServiceDesk Plus and Endpoint Central to consolidate identity governance, service management and endpoint operations.
Unified IT operations
CenturyPly said the objective was not simply to deploy isolated tools but to build a unified IT ecosystem that could improve coordination across systems and strengthen business continuity.
"Our teams wanted a solution with collaboration between applications in a single platform. We needed outcomes that ensure business continuity and not just a list of features," said CenturyPly’s head of IT infrastructure, Dinesh Naskar.
The deployment has introduced automated onboarding workflows, self-service password management and real-time monitoring of security activity across systems.
Password-related support calls have now dropped to zero, while onboarding processes that previously required manual coordination are executed through a single workflow.
CenturyPly has also strengthened security monitoring capabilities through continuous visibility into suspicious file deletions, unauthorised access behaviour and ransomware-like activity across storage systems.
This has enabled the company to move from a reactive security approach towards real-time monitoring and faster incident response.
Reduces manual processes
CenturyPly has streamlined service management operations using automated workflows and a self-service knowledge base, allowing IT teams to focus on higher-priority operational initiatives.
Support engineers now have real-time visibility into endpoint health, user systems and security posture directly from support tickets, helping improve response and resolution times.
The consolidation has simplified asset reporting processes.
Tasks that previously required nearly three days of manual audits can now be completed through on-demand reporting and centralised visibility across the IT environment.
Naskar said the transformation is helping CenturyPly shift focus from routine troubleshooting towards technologies and initiatives that contribute more directly to operational scale and business value.
ManageEngine CEO Rajesh Ganesan said enterprises are focusing on simplifying operations, improving security visibility and reducing the burden of managing disconnected tools as digital environments grow more complex.
The deployment comes at a time when Indian enterprises across sectors are accelerating platform consolidation initiatives to support workforce growth, distributed operations and evolving cybersecurity requirements.
For manufacturing organisations in particular, where operational scale and workforce expansion add complexity, unified IT operations are increasingly becoming a strategic requirement rather than just an infrastructure upgrade.
By consolidating identity management, endpoint operations, security auditing and service management on a single platform, CenturyPly will be in a better position to support future growth, workforce expansion and long-term digital transformation initiatives.
