Cognizant expands Google Cloud partnership to operationalise agentic AI at enterprise scale
Firm to deploy Gemini Enterprise internally and establish dedicated delivery centre.
Cognizant has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to help enterprises operationalise agentic AI at scale.
The move advances the partnership from platform integration to enterprise-scale execution, and it builds on the recently announced collaboration to adopt Gemini Enterprise.
As part of the next phase, Cognizant has invested in and is deploying Google Workspace alongside Gemini Enterprise internally to enhance productivity, employee experience and delivery velocity.
Building on this internal rollout, the company will go to market with a new productivity offering that combines Gemini Enterprise and Google Workspace.
The offering aims to help clients move from manual and fragmented tasks to AI-driven workflows, including collaborative content creation and supplier communications.
To support scaled delivery, Cognizant is establishing a dedicated Gemini Enterprise Center of Excellence and investing in capabilities required to deploy agentic AI consistently at enterprise scale.
Cognizant’s president, Core Technologies and insights, Annadurai Elango, said, "This partnership reinforces Cognizant's position as an AI builder, a new kind of services partner focused on creating purpose-built, enterprise-grade solutions that drive real business outcomes.”
"Cognizant brings together the optimal combination of people and technology, including proprietary IP and deep services expertise, to build industry-specific platforms, embed context into systems, and co-create agentic solutions tailored to each client's business,” Elango added.
Integrating AI into the development workflow
The company will operationalise this model through its Agent Development Lifecycle (ADLC), integrating AI into the development workflow from design and blueprinting through implementation, validation and production rollout.
Cognizant will leverage its proprietary capabilities, including Cognizant Ignition enabled by Gemini, to accelerate discovery and prototyping and optimise clients’ data foundations.
Google Cloud’s president, global ecosystems and channel, Kevin Ichhpurani, said the partnership with Cognizant brings together advanced AI technology and deep industry expertise to help enterprises operationalise agentic AI.
Together, the two companies will enable organisations to deploy enterprise-ready AI solutions that deliver real business impact, said Ichhpurani.
Through Cognizant Agent Foundry, the firm will provide no-code capabilities and pre-configured solutions for use cases such as AI-powered contact centres and intelligent order management.
According to the statement, Cognizant will continue to scale delivery across agentic coding initiatives and Google Distributed Cloud programs with its global cadre of Gemini-trained specialists.
