Digitide appoints Sameer Ahluwalia as CEO to expand AI and digital services business

The company is focusing on AI-led transformation, large-deal acquisition, profitability and international expansion as it enters its next phase of growth.

Digitide Solutions has appointed Sameer Ahluwalia as chief executive officer and executive director, effective June 1, as the company looks to scale its AI and digital services business and accelerate its next phase of growth.

The company has placed its focus on AI-led business transformation, operational discipline, profitability and expansion across domestic and international markets.

According to the company, Ahluwalia will strengthen operational discipline, scale AI and digital capabilities, accelerate large-deal acquisition and expand the company's presence across key markets.

The move follows a significant period of transformation for Digitide under the leadership of Gurmeet Chahal, during which the company completed its demerger from Quess Corp, strengthened its strategic focus and expanded leadership capabilities.

Digitide has positioned itself as an AI-first business transformation company and is focusing on technology-led services as enterprises look to modernise operations, improve productivity and adopt AI across business functions.

The company said Ahluwalia's immediate priorities will include scaling its AI and digital practice, improving profitability and pursuing larger strategic opportunities across “domestic and international markets”.

Digitide Solutions’ chairman, Ajit Isaac, said Ahluwalia's experience across business services, global operations and AI-led transformation aligns closely with the company's next phase of growth.

Brings experience across global business transformation

Ahluwalia brings over two decades of experience across enterprise transformation, business services, operational improvement and growth strategy.

Most recently, he served as managing director at Alvarez & Marsal, where he focused on building a cross-border value creation and transformation practice serving private equity firms, portfolio companies and mid-market enterprises.

Prior to that, he was Group President at Firstsource, where he led the transformation of the company's globally distributed BPM and B2B services business. During his tenure, the company focused on improving profitability, integrating acquired businesses and strengthening technology-led service capabilities.

Earlier in his career, Ahluwalia was part of the founding leadership team that helped scale the global BFSI-BPO and platform business at HCL Technologies, leading large-scale transformation and digital initiatives for global financial institutions.

Digitide said his experience across North America, Europe, the UK and India brings a combination of operational leadership, transformation expertise and growth-focused execution that aligns with the company's strategic priorities.

Ahluwalia said Digitide is well positioned to benefit from growing enterprise demand for AI-led business transformation.
