Everpure hires former Microsoft executive Amit Bansal to lead public sector and PSU business

Bansal will oversee Central and State Government and PSU accounts as the company looks to expand its data infrastructure and modernisation business across India's public sector.

Everpure (formerly Pure Storage) has appointed former Microsoft executive Amit Bansal as Director – Public Sector & PSU, strengthening its leadership team as it expands its government business in India.

Based in New Delhi, Bansal will lead the company's public sector strategy across Central Government, State Government and public sector undertaking (PSU) accounts, with responsibility for driving business growth, customer engagement and partner relationships.

The appointment comes as government organisations continue investing in cloud infrastructure, AI, cybersecurity and digital public services, creating new opportunities for enterprise infrastructure vendors and their channel partners.

Bansal joins Everpure after more than eight years at Microsoft, where he most recently served as Senior Azure Sales Specialist for the public sector. In that role, he worked with Central and State Government organisations on cloud adoption and digital transformation initiatives.

During his tenure at Microsoft, he also held leadership roles as Senior Product Marketing Manager and Solutions Sales Specialist for the public sector, supporting the adoption of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Office 365 and Microsoft Teams across government organisations.

Before Microsoft, Bansal held public sector leadership positions at Oracle, Red Hat and Dell Technologies, managing enterprise infrastructure, cloud and government accounts. Earlier in his career, he also worked with Reliance Global Enterprise Business, Brocade and Vertex India.

Announcing his new role on LinkedIn, Bansal said he would lead Everpure's public sector business with end-to-end responsibility for Central Government, State Government and PSU customers, focusing on strategy, growth and partnerships to support their data and infrastructure modernisation.

India's public sector continues to be a strategic growth market for enterprise technology vendors as government departments and PSUs accelerate investments in cloud, AI, cybersecurity and modern data infrastructure.

With experience spanning Microsoft, Oracle, Red Hat and Dell Technologies, Bansal brings a combination of public sector sales, cloud transformation and enterprise infrastructure expertise that aligns with Everpure's focus on supporting government modernisation through its partner ecosystem.

The appointment brings more than two decades of experience across enterprise technology, cloud platforms, public sector sales and strategic account management.

It also reflects a broader trend of infrastructure vendors strengthening leadership teams to capture growing opportunities emerging from government modernisation and cloud adoption initiatives across India.
