HCLTech and Pegasystems have expanded collaboration to help enterprises modernise enterprise application environments using automated discovery, workflow transformation and AI-led modernisation capabilities.

The partnership combines HCLTech AI Force with Pega Blueprint to help organisations move away from fragmented legacy environments and transition toward cloud-native applications built on the Pega platform.

According to the companies, the joint offering uses generative and agentic AI to automate discovery, documentation and workflow transformation across enterprise application environments.

The collaboration comes as enterprises across India accelerate transformation initiatives across banking, telecom, manufacturing and public sector operations. Organisations continue to operate complex systems that are expensive to maintain, difficult to scale and heavily dependent on manual processes and legacy workflows.

Pegasystems’ chief of client and partner success, John Higgins, said enterprises are looking to modernise enterprise environments while maintaining scalability, resilience and governance requirements.

“By working with HCLTech and leveraging AI Force within Pega Blueprint, we’re helping clients accelerate application and workflow modernisation with speed, quality and measurable outcomes,” Higgins said.

The platform uses AI to analyse enterprise environments, automate discovery and workflow generation, and create migration-ready applications and data structures while reducing manual effort associated with large-scale modernisation projects.

With this approach, they intend to fully retire legacy estates rather than simply migrate older applications to new infrastructure environments.

This reflects a shift in enterprise transformation strategies where organisations are looking to reduce technical debt, simplify operations and consolidate infrastructure environments instead of pursuing traditional lift-and-shift migration models.

AI-led modernisation of enterprise environments

The collaboration also brings agentic AI capabilities into enterprise transformation workflows.

The companies said automated discovery and assessment capabilities can help reduce the consulting and engineering effort traditionally associated with large modernisation programs.

The platform also incorporates industry-specific frameworks and operational models based on enterprise deployments across sectors, including banking, insurance, manufacturing and other regulated industries.

For system integrators and enterprise partners, the shift is creating opportunities around AI-led consulting, workflow redesign, cloud transformation and operational modernisation services.

HCLTech’s EVP and global head of enterprise platforms and edge services, digital business services, Sadagopan Singam, said combining HCLTech AI Force with Pega Blueprint would help enterprises modernise systems faster while reducing operational disruption.

“By combining HCLTech AI Force with Pega Blueprint, we are making legacy modernisation faster, smarter and more accurate. This solution reflects our vision to lead in AI-driven transformation and deliver genuine business value with minimal disruption,” he said.

Enterprises across India are increasingly looking beyond infrastructure migration toward modernisation models focused on operational simplification, technical debt reduction and long-term platform consolidation.
