Hitachi opens Noida hub to showcase AI-powered building solutions to partners and customers

It will demonstrate Hitachi's AI-enabled building management platform while bringing together customers, partners and engineering teams to support smart building deployments.

Hitachi has opened the BuilMirai Experience Centre in Noida, creating a customer and partner engagement hub to showcase its AI-powered building solutions as demand for smart and energy-efficient infrastructure grows in India.

Located at GlobalLogic's India headquarters, the facility will demonstrate BuilMirai, Hitachi's digital building management service built around its HMAX for Buildings portfolio.

The platform combines building data, operational expertise and AI to help organisations manage building operations through a unified platform.

The centre has been launched jointly by Hitachi, Hitachi Lift India and GlobalLogic, with each company supporting different aspects of the initiative. GlobalLogic will lead the digital engineering of the platform, while Hitachi Lift India will provide local operational capabilities, including elevator systems and lifecycle services.

Hitachi said the centre will serve as an innovation and customer engagement hub where customers, partners and industry stakeholders can experience its latest smart building technologies and collaborate on new use cases.

The company also plans to “use feedback from customers and partners” to further develop BuilMirai and support its deployment in global markets.

According to the company, the BuilMirai platform will help organisations improve energy efficiency, sustainability, operational visibility and infrastructure performance while enhancing occupant experiences through a unified building management platform.

It combines data from connected building assets with Hitachi's operational technology expertise and AI to provide greater visibility into building operations and support data-driven decision-making.

According to Hitachi, India's rapid urbanisation and economic growth are increasing demand for intelligent building technologies across commercial buildings, office campuses and infrastructure projects, making the country an important market for its building solutions business.

The company said the Noida hub will support the development and demonstration of solutions that address these requirements while strengthening its building solutions business in India.

Expanding ecosystem collaboration

Beyond demonstrating technology, the experience centre is expected to support collaboration between Hitachi's engineering teams, customers, partners and industry stakeholders involved in smart building projects.

GlobalLogic's digital engineering teams will work alongside Hitachi to continue developing the BuilMirai platform, while Hitachi Lift India will contribute its local implementation and service capabilities.

Hitachi said insights gathered through customer engagements at the centre will help enhance the platform's capabilities and support its wider deployment across global markets.

The launch also expands Hitachi's broader smart infrastructure strategy in India, where the company is combining information technology, operational technology and connected products to develop digital solutions for buildings and urban infrastructure.

For partners, the new facility provides a location to engage with customers, explore AI-enabled building technologies and collaborate with Hitachi on projects involving smart buildings, digital infrastructure and connected building management systems.
