India becomes Ingram Micro's second-largest market globally

It is expanding its Bengaluru operations as demand rises across AI, data centre and SMB technology projects.

Ingram Micro has expanded its Bengaluru operations with a new, larger facility, underscoring the growing importance of India in the company's global business and channel strategy.

The company said India is now its second-largest market globally, driven by rising digital adoption, growing investments in technology infrastructure and increasing demand across the country's enterprise and SMB segments.

The Bengaluru expansion forms part of Ingram Micro's long-term investment plans in India and is aimed at strengthening operational capabilities, expanding teams and supporting partners and customers in one of the country's largest technology markets.

Ingram Micro India managing director and chief country executive Flavio Moraes Junior said India remains one of the company's most important markets worldwide.

"India remains one of Ingram Micro's most important markets globally, and this expansion in Bengaluru reflects the confidence we place in the country's technology ecosystem," said Moraes Junior.

According to the company, Bengaluru remains a strategic location because it concentrates technology companies, channel partners and enterprise customers.

AI, data centres and SMB demand drive growth

Ingram Micro said growing investments in artificial intelligence, data centres and technology adoption among small and medium businesses are creating new opportunities across the market.

Moraes Junior identified AI adoption, data centre investments and the evolving needs of SMBs as key drivers shaping the next phase of growth in India.

"Our new facility will allow us to strengthen our teams and continue delivering greater value to our partners and customers as they contribute to India's fast-evolving digital transformation journey," he said.

The distributor believes India's technology market will continue to benefit from increasing investment in cloud, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and next-generation infrastructure technologies.

The new facility is expected to help Ingram Micro deepen support for partners and customers while expanding operational capabilities in the region.

Bengaluru remains central to India strategy

India continues to play a strategic role in Ingram Micro's global growth plans, supported by the country's expanding technology ecosystem, enterprise transformation projects and digital infrastructure investments.

The company said Bengaluru remains central to that strategy because of its position as a major hub for innovation, technology development and channel activity.

The expansion comes as distributors, vendors and solution providers see increasing demand for AI infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity solutions and data-centre-related technologies across India.

It signals continued investment by one of the industry's largest distributors at a time when opportunities around AI, cloud and digital infrastructure continue to expand.

Ingram Micro said it will continue to support customers through its portfolio spanning client and endpoint solutions, advanced technologies, cloud services, professional services and its AI-powered Xvantage platform, which is designed to help partners simplify operations and accelerate business growth.
