Ingram Micro brings in ex-Microsoft Farhana Haque as country lead to strengthen platform-led partner growth

Farhana Haque will lead Ingram Micro India’s Platform Business, with a focus on SMB growth, partner experience and wider adoption of its Xvantage platform as the distributor looks to build a more connected, digitally driven ecosystem.

Ingram Micro India has appointed Farhana Haque as country lead and executive director, Platform Business, as the distributor looks to strengthen its platform-led approach to partner engagement and expand its focus on small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

Based in Mumbai, Haque reports to Flavio Moraes Junior, vice president and chief country executive of Ingram Micro India. She also joins the company’s India Executive Leadership Team.

Haque will oversee the Platform Business, including platform operations and customer success. Her priorities include simplifying the partner journey, expanding the adoption of Xvantage, Ingram Micro’s digital platform, and growing the business across key segments, including SMBs.

Speaking about her appointment, Haque said she would focus on aligning the company’s cloud, artificial intelligence (AI) and platform capabilities with operational execution.

“My focus will be on simplifying the partner journey, accelerating Xvantage adoption, and scaling our presence across key segments including SMBs,” Haque said.

She added that the company would focus on deepening partner trust and building a high-performing, partner-centric business.

The company’s stated ambition is to evolve into a platform-led, digitally connected and customer-centric technology organisation, using automation and integration to improve access to technology solutions and services.

For partners, the focus is on making it easier to discover, buy and manage technology offerings while supporting the growth of their businesses.

“The future of distribution will be defined by how effectively we connect technology, data, services, and partners through a seamless digital ecosystem,” said Flavio Moraes Junior.

He said Haque’s experience in enterprise transformation, cloud, AI and strategic partnerships would be valuable as the company develops its Platform Business, supports SMB growth and works to deliver a more connected partner experience.

The appointment places the Platform Business under a leader whose background spans enterprise technology, commercial expansion, partnerships and business operations.

However, Ingram Micro has not disclosed specific targets for Xvantage adoption, SMB business growth or changes to its partner programme alongside the appointment.

Haque brings experience from Microsoft, Vodafone and IBM

Haque most recently worked at Microsoft as senior director, leading enterprise transformation, AI strategy and commercial expansion across strategic services, cloud solutions and modern work.

Before Microsoft, she led Vodafone’s Internet of Things business, partnerships and operations across India and the Asia-Pacific region. At IBM, she served as general manager for the Distribution Sector, focusing on business analytics, optimisation and organisational change.

She began her career at Infosys, where she managed SAP projects, alliances, proposals and marketing.

Haque holds an MBA in Marketing from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela.

Her appointment adds leadership experience across cloud, AI and enterprise transformation to Ingram Micro India’s platform strategy.

The next measure of progress will be how the company translates that strategy into a simpler partner experience, broader platform adoption and business growth among its partner base.
