Ingram Micro India expands identity security portfolio with Yubico distribution agreement

Move adds hardware-backed authentication to the channel ecosystem as enterprises shift to passwordless security and identity-led architectures.

Ingram Micro India has announced the expansion of its cybersecurity portfolio through a distribution agreement with authentication vendor Yubico, bringing hardware-backed authentication into its partner ecosystem as enterprises in India increase investments in identity-led security.

The partnership gives Ingram Micro’s channel access to Yubico’s authentication portfolio, including the YubiKey 5 Series, Bio Series and Security Keys.

According to the announcement, the solutions will enable passwordless authentication across devices, applications and hybrid work environments, while supporting standards such as FIDO2, PIV and OTP, authentication standards and methods that define how users verify identity.

In the enterprise security priorities, identity is moving to the centre of security architectures. Organisations are adopting Zero Trust frameworks and identity-first strategies in response to rising credential-based attacks and the limitations of password-driven access models.

Ingram Micro said the partnership will help channel partners address growing enterprise requirements around authentication, identity protection and access security.

The distributor said it is equipping partners with phishing-resistant technologies that align with enterprise requirements for scalability, compliance and user experience.

“Identity security has become one of the most critical priorities for organisations as cyberattacks continue to evolve in scale and sophistication,” said Flavio Moraes Junior, managing director and chief country executive, Ingram Micro India.

He added that the partnership is focused on enabling partners to address growing enterprise demand for passwordless and compliance-ready security.

For Yubico, the agreement provides distribution-led scale in the Indian market.

Yubico’s vice president, global channel, Bettina Vahl, said organisations are accelerating the transition to passwordless authentication and require solutions that combine strong security with ease of use. She said the partnership will expand access to Yubico’s technologies through Ingram Micro’s distribution network.

The combined offering is aimed at enterprise use cases, including Zero Trust implementations, privileged access management and remote workforce security.

It also supports compliance-driven deployments across regulated sectors such as banking, healthcare and government, where authentication strength is increasingly linked to regulatory requirements.

From a channel perspective, the agreement opens up a growing segment within cybersecurity.

Identity and authentication are emerging as standalone areas of investment as enterprises reconfigure security around user identity and access. The partnership enables channel partners to participate in this shift while accessing enablement, training and co-marketing support tied to Yubico’s portfolio.

As enterprise demand shifts towards access control and verification layers, distributors are expanding their portfolios to include higher-value security capabilities aligned with Zero Trust and identity-first frameworks.

The Ingram Micro–Yubico partnership positions authentication as a core layer in enterprise security stacks, with passwordless and phishing-resistant technologies gaining relevance as organisations address increasingly identity-driven threat environments.
