LTM partners Nvidia to modernise CBDT’s tax analytics platform

Seven-year mandate to deploy AI-powered cloud infrastructure for real-time tax administration.

LTM has partnered with Nvidia to modernise India’s national tax analytics platform for the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), under the Insight 2.0 initiative.

Last month, LTIMindtree secured a ₹3,000 crore (approximately $332 million) contract from the CBDT to modernise the platform as part of the government’s broader digital transformation efforts.

The programme is part of a seven-year mandate.

As part of the initiative, LTM will deploy a secure cloud environment powered by Nvidia AI infrastructure to simplify workloads and enable real-time insights for CBDT.

LTM’s BlueVerse platform will serve as the intelligence backbone of the programme. The platform will integrate AI across operational layers of the tax system.

The deployment is expected to support features including a smart citizen portal, automated campaign management, enhanced case workflows, and AI-driven helpdesk assistance.

The companies said the modernised platform will aim to improve governance, reduce leakages, enhance compliance, and streamline the overall taxpayer experience.

LTM’s chief delivery officer, Gururaj Deshpande, said the collaboration combines NVIDIA’s AI capabilities with LTM’s BlueVerse platform to enable transparent and resilient tax administration at scale.

The initiative reflects the increasing adoption of AI infrastructure in large-scale public sector transformation programmes.

Nvidia’s VP of data centre GPU business, Yogesh Agrawal, said accelerated computing and full-stack AI infrastructure are enabling efficiencies required to modernise tax operations.

By integrating NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure with BlueVerse, the programme is designed to deliver secure, high-performance and scalable digital governance capabilities.

With Insight 2.0, CBDT is looking to transition from traditional analytics systems to AI-driven, cloud-enabled tax administration to support growing data volumes and evolving compliance requirements.

LTM, formerly known as LTIMindtree and currently undergoing a proposed name change subject to shareholder approval, positions BlueVerse as a platform designed to embed AI into enterprise and government workflows.

For Nvidia, the project expands its footprint in India’s public sector AI infrastructure deployments, particularly in data centre GPU-driven analytics and accelerated computing environments.

The Insight 2.0 programme marks one of the larger AI-led modernisation efforts within India’s tax administration ecosystem.
