ManageEngine opens ‘new monetisation model’ for partners through enterprise developer ecosystem

The Marketplace enables partners to build, publish and commercialise enterprise extensions and AI agents, creating new recurring revenue opportunities beyond traditional implementation services.

ManageEngine, the enterprise IT management division of Zoho Corporation, has launched a partner-developer ecosystem through its Marketplace, enabling channel partners, independent software vendors (ISVs) and developers to build, publish and commercialise enterprise extensions and AI agents for its IT management and security platforms.

The initiative expands ManageEngine's platform strategy by allowing partners to develop integrations, plugins, add-ons and industry-specific extensions that enterprises can deploy through the Marketplace.

For partners, the move creates a new monetisation model around building reusable intellectual property (IP) rather than relying only on software resale, deployment and implementation services.

The Marketplace also serves as a distribution platform for ManageEngine's Zia Agents, the company's AI-powered autonomous agents for enterprise IT environments, enabling customers to discover and deploy AI capabilities alongside partner-developed extensions.

ManageEngine CEO Rajesh Ganesan said the Marketplace enables developers to extend the company's platforms while maintaining the security, governance and quality standards expected by enterprise customers.

"As software development becomes democratised through powerful AI tools, customers expect a secure, efficient, and agile way to extend the capabilities of their platforms," Ganesan said.

Partners move beyond implementation

The Marketplace allows partner-developers, ISVs and customers to build extensions using ManageEngine's extension framework and publish them through a centralised platform.

These extensions include integrations, workflow automation, industry-specific capabilities and business applications built on ManageEngine's platforms.

According to the company, enterprises operate hundreds of IT tools that need to work together. Through the Marketplace, customers can deploy partner-built capabilities instead of waiting for native product enhancements.

The ecosystem already includes over 17 partner-developer organisations, which have collectively built over 170 extensions that have generated over 10,000 downloads globally.

The Marketplace also provides access to Zia Agents, ManageEngine's proprietary AI-powered autonomous agents.

The platform supports both ManageEngine environments and third-party solutions, enabling customers to discover, deploy and integrate AI agents alongside partner-built extensions for enterprise automation.

While the Marketplace is open to partner contributions, every extension will undergo validation for functionality, security, compliance and quality assurance before publication.

Platform strategy expands

ManageEngine said the Marketplace follows a symbiotic ecosystem model in which the company develops the core enterprise platforms while partners build specialised capabilities on top of them.

HyphenEdge (EraSmith) Director and Product Owner Anuj Garg said the Marketplace creates opportunities for partners to build sustainable businesses around enterprise extensions.

He said every extension contributes to pipeline growth, partnerships and recurring revenue.

The launch reflects a shift among enterprise software vendors towards platform ecosystems, where partners build industry-specific innovation while customers gain faster access to specialised capabilities.

For ManageEngine, the Marketplace extends its IT management and security portfolio through partner-led innovation while creating new commercial opportunities for organisations building enterprise software on its platforms.
