MICK Digital India, a wholly owned subsidiary of MIC Electronics Limited, has entered the healthcare technology distribution market after being empanelled as an authorised channel partner of Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ).

The partnership enables MICK Digital to market, distribute and support medical devices and healthcare equipment manufactured through the AMTZ ecosystem across hospitals, healthcare institutions and government healthcare programmes nationwide.

The move marks a significant expansion for the company as it looks to tap into India's growing medical devices sector, which is estimated at approximately $11 billion today and is projected to reach nearly $50 billion by 2030.

As an authorised channel partner, MICK Digital will also become eligible to participate in government healthcare procurement opportunities through platforms and initiatives such as the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), the National Health Mission (NHM) and various state healthcare programmes.

The company will distribute a broad portfolio of healthcare technologies spanning critical care equipment, dialysis and renal care systems, diagnostic and imaging equipment, surgical solutions, hospital infrastructure products and medical consumables.

According to the company, the partnership aligns with the Government of India's Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives by expanding access to domestically manufactured medical devices while reducing dependence on imports.

The collaboration combines AMTZ's manufacturing ecosystem with MICK Digital's distribution and engineering capabilities, creating a route-to-market model aimed at accelerating the adoption of indigenous healthcare technologies.

The company plans to focus on a wide range of healthcare institutions, including government district hospitals, medical colleges, community and primary health centres, private hospitals, nursing homes, diagnostic laboratories, imaging centres, defence healthcare establishments and corporate hospital networks.

Commenting on the development, Siva Ram A, representing MICK Digital India Limited, said the partnership marks a key milestone in the company's expansion into the healthcare sector.

"We are honoured to be empanelled as an authorised Channel Partner of AMTZ, India's premier medical devices manufacturing hub," he said.

"Our vision is to ensure that the best of Indian-made medical technology reaches not just large hospitals in metros, but also district hospitals, community health centres and healthcare institutions in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities across the country."

Beyond product distribution, MICK Digital plans to provide installation, integration and after-sales support services, allowing it to offer a more comprehensive healthcare technology engagement model.

The company said the empanelment is expected to strengthen its healthcare business by enabling participation in large-scale institutional and government procurement programmes while providing hospitals and healthcare providers with access to cost-effective, domestically manufactured medical equipment.

Founded in 2024 as the dedicated commercial and solutions subsidiary of MIC Electronics, MICK Digital currently operates across sectors including Indian Railways, electronics manufacturing services (EMS/SMT), LED lighting solutions and healthcare technology distribution.

For MIC Electronics, which has more than three decades of engineering and manufacturing experience, the move represents another step towards diversifying into high-growth technology segments while expanding its presence in India's healthcare ecosystem.
