NetApp appoints Subhojit Roy to lead partner strategy across India and SAARC
Role focuses on strengthening GSI engagement and expanding partner-led growth in enterprise markets.
NetApp has appointed Subhojit Roy as Area Partner Lead for India and SAARC, with responsibility for driving partner ecosystem strategy and strengthening engagement with global system integrators across the region.
In this role, Roy will focus on expanding partner-led growth across enterprise and emerging markets, working closely with global and regional partners.
The appointment comes as enterprises across India and SAARC continue to adopt hybrid cloud, data management, and AI-driven infrastructure solutions, where partner ecosystems play a central role in deployment and delivery.
Roy confirmed his appointment in a LinkedIn post, stating that he joined NetApp this week and will engage with partners across the region.
Roy brings over 25 years of experience across enterprise technology sales, partner ecosystems, and global alliances.
He joins NetApp after more than 11 years at Commvault, where he most recently served as Global Head of GSI Partnerships.
In that role, he built and scaled a multi-region GSI organisation, standardising global sales playbooks and performance metrics.
He also worked on increasing revenue contribution from GSI partnerships and aligning global and regional sales teams to support co-selling initiatives.
His experience spans enterprise accounts, SMB segments, channel, and distribution, providing exposure to multiple partner-led business models.
Experience across sales, partnerships and demand generation
At Commvault, Roy held ownership of the GSI business across pipeline generation, deal qualification, and contract closure.
He also led global marketing initiatives for the GSI segment, focusing on demand generation and campaign execution.
His role involved working with regional sales heads and internal teams to support joint go-to-market initiatives and partner engagement.
He also worked on building co-selling approaches with global system integrators to support pipeline development.
Role aligned with partner-led enterprise engagement
Before joining Commvault, Roy held leadership roles at Oracle, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and APC, where he worked across sales strategy, partner development, and enterprise account management.
In his current role at NetApp, he will work on strengthening alliances with global and regional system integrators, enabling partner collaboration, and supporting customer engagements around modern data infrastructure platforms.
The appointment adds to NetApp’s focus on partner ecosystem engagement in India and SAARC, where enterprise demand for data platforms, hybrid cloud, and AI infrastructure continues to grow.
