NETGEAR appoints Surajit Sen as head of enterprise business for APAC

Former Zscaler and Dell Technologies executive will focus on expanding enterprise business as the company increases investments in intelligent networking, ProAV solutions and AI-powered network operations.

NETGEAR has appointed former Zscaler executive Surajit Sen as head of enterprise business for Asia-Pacific, to focus on expanding its enterprise business and strengthening relationships with partners, distributors and enterprise customers across the region.

The appointment comes at a time when the company is accelerating its global transformation strategy, shifting beyond traditional networking products towards intelligent enterprise networking, ProAV-over-IP solutions and AI-driven network management.

Sen announced the appointment through a LinkedIn post, describing the role as part of NETGEAR's global "Dare to Transform" strategy.

"We are at a massive turning point," he said.

"Our regional mission is clear, to unleash the full potential of connectivity, with intelligent solutions, that delight and protect."

He added that the company aims to strengthen its position in the rapidly growing APAC market through its enterprise networking portfolio while introducing autonomous, agentic AI-driven troubleshooting capabilities for businesses.

The appointment also focuses on partner-led growth across the region.

Sen said he looks forward to working closely with the company's regional teams, engineering organisation, executive leadership, partners, distributors and enterprise customers as the company executes its enterprise strategy.

As organisations modernise campuses, branch offices, manufacturing facilities and hybrid workplaces, demand is increasing for intelligent network infrastructure that combines connectivity, automation and security.

The company is also positioning ProAV-over-IP as a strategic growth area, targeting organisations deploying large-scale digital collaboration, smart workplace and enterprise audiovisual environments.

Another area of focus is the integration of AI into network operations.

According to Sen, NETGEAR plans to introduce autonomous, agentic AI-driven troubleshooting capabilities designed to simplify network management and improve operational efficiency for enterprise customers.

The move reflects the growing shift across enterprise networking vendors towards AI-assisted operations that reduce manual intervention and accelerate issue resolution.

Brings enterprise and channel leadership experience

Sen joins NETGEAR after serving as regional sales leader for Asia at Zscaler, where he worked with enterprise customers across the commercial business.

Prior to that, he spent more than 11 years at Dell Technologies, holding several regional leadership positions across Asia-Pacific and Japan.

His responsibilities included leading Dell APEX sales across APJ as well as driving storage platform and solutions business through global systems integrators, strategic outsourcing partners and cloud service providers.

His experience spans enterprise infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, strategic alliances and partner-led business development.

That background aligns closely with NETGEAR's strategy of expanding its enterprise presence through channel partners while addressing growing demand for intelligent networking solutions.

For partners, the appointment indicates NETGEAR's continued investment in the enterprise market at a time when organisations are increasing spending on AI-enabled infrastructure, cloud connectivity and modern workplace technologies.

As enterprise networking continues to evolve beyond hardware towards software-defined management, automation and AI-assisted operations, channel partners are expected to play a larger role in helping customers design, deploy and manage next-generation network environments across the Asia-Pacific region.
