NTT DATA signs strategic collaboration agreement with AWS

Partnership focuses on enterprise cloud modernisation and agentic AI adoption.

NTT DATA has signed a multi-year strategic collaboration agreement (SCA) with AWS to support enterprise cloud modernisation and agentic AI adoption.

Under the agreement, NTT DATA will combine its capabilities in cloud transformation, cloud-native modernisation and agentic AI with AWS services.

The focus will be on migrating and modernising on-premises workloads on AWS, using generative and agentic AI along with automation and data platforms.

As part of the agreement, NTT DATA and AWS will deliver industry-specific cloud solutions across financial services, healthcare, life sciences, public sector, manufacturing, retail and energy.

These offerings will be built using NTT DATA’s Industry Cloud platform, which includes over 500 extensible business components and AI agents.

The collaboration also includes AI and data innovation for managed services and customer experience solutions, including a recent agreement to modernise contact centre platforms using Amazon Connect.

NTT DATA’s president and CEO, Abhijit Dubey, said cloud and AI are central to enterprise transformation and the company in partnership with AWS, are helping clients move beyond experimentation to scale AI.

As part of its ongoing work with AWS, NTT highlighted a recent customer engagement with Honda Trading Asia, which migrated to the AWS Cloud with NTT DATA’s support.

The company said the move has helped modernise its systems and infrastructure while creating a foundation for future AI initiatives.

Looking ahead, NTT DATA will develop industry-specific AI-enabled cloud solutions on AWS through its Industry Cloud platform, using sandboxes and labs for testing and development.

These offerings will be backed by the company’s full-stack services spanning advisory, implementation and managed services, and Smart AI Agent ecosystem.
