Philips expands India channel with MITSUMI distribution partnership
The partnership will strengthen availability of Philips' professional display portfolio while expanding channel reach across metro and emerging markets.
Philips has appointed MITSUMI Distribution as its distributor for Professional Display Solutions in India, adding another global technology brand to the distributor's rapidly expanding India portfolio as it builds out a nationwide partner network and logistics infrastructure.
The partnership expands Philips' route-to-market strategy for monitors and professional display solutions while strengthening MITSUMI's workplace infrastructure portfolio for channel partners serving enterprise and commercial customers.
Both companies said the collaboration is aimed at strengthening availability across metro as well as emerging markets.
The appointment comes just months after MITSUMI entered the Indian market with plans to invest ₹700-1,000 crore over three years to build distribution infrastructure, inventory, logistics capabilities and local credit support for partners. The distributor is also expanding beyond metro cities with a strategy focused on Tier-2, Tier-3 and Tier-4 markets while targeting a network of 8,000-10,000 partners across India.
MITSUMI Distribution global chief strategy officer Rajveer Shah said India remains one of the world's most important technology markets and that the distributor is focused on building a network that gives channel partners access to the right brands, reliable product availability and the support infrastructure required to grow their businesses.
"India represents one of the most significant technology markets in the world today. Our focus is on building a distribution network that serves channel partners across the country with the right brands, reliable availability, and the support infrastructure they need to grow," Shah said.
Philips further expands MITSUMI's India portfolio as the distributor continues adding global technology vendors across endpoint computing, displays and enterprise infrastructure. The company has positioned channel expansion, product availability and partner enablement as key pillars of its India strategy.
Philips Monitors India managing director Carol Anne Dias said professional display solutions are becoming increasingly important in enabling productivity across modern workplaces.
She said the partnership with MITSUMI will help Philips expand its market reach while making its display portfolio more accessible to customers across India.
"High-quality display solutions play a critical role in enabling productivity and efficiency across professional environments. Our partnership with MITSUMI Distribution allows us to expand our reach and make these solutions more accessible to customers across India," Dias said.
For Philips, the partnership provides access to a distributor investing heavily in regional reach and partner expansion. For MITSUMI, it adds another enterprise workplace brand to a portfolio it is building around infrastructure, productivity and commercial technology.
As distributors compete on logistics, inventory and partner services rather than product availability alone, investments in regional reach are becoming an important differentiator for vendors looking to expand beyond India's largest cities.
