Redington adds SentinelOne to help partners build managed security and recurring services practices

The cybersecurity distribution partnership advances Redington's services-led strategy, giving partners new opportunities to build managed security offerings around AI-powered threat detection, response and cloud security.

Redington has entered a distribution partnership with SentinelOne, adding the cybersecurity vendor's Singularity Platform to its portfolio as part of a broader effort to help partners build recurring services businesses around cloud, AI and cybersecurity.

The partnership gives Redington's channel ecosystem access to SentinelOne's portfolio spanning endpoint security, cloud security, identity protection, detection and response, managed detection and response (MDR), and AI-powered security capabilities.

While the agreement expands SentinelOne's market reach in India, it also reflects the shift in Redington's channel strategy.

In recent conversations with CRN India, Redington executives have repeatedly emphasised helping partners move beyond product transactions and participate in higher-value opportunities through services, technical expertise and recurring revenue models.

"Technology adoption is rarely just a transaction," Sridhar S, President, SSG, Redington Limited, told CRN India in an earlier interview, arguing that partners continue to play a key role in evaluating customer requirements, validating use cases and driving deployments. Redington has since expanded its Cloud, Infrastructure, Software and Security (CISS) services portfolio to help partners assess, architect, deploy, secure and optimise customer environments.

Against that backdrop, SentinelOne gives partners another platform around which they can build managed security, consulting and recurring services engagements rather than relying solely on software resale.

Redington said it plans to use its distribution network, partner enablement capabilities and technical expertise to expand SentinelOne's presence across enterprises, government organisations, BFSI, telecom, manufacturing, global capability centres (GCCs) and emerging digital businesses.

The distributor's presence across metro and upcountry markets could also support a wider objective that Redington has discussed previously: expanding participation in advanced technology opportunities beyond a small group of specialist partners and into regional markets.

Redington has said it is investing in enablement and technical support programmes to help a broader partner base participate in cloud, AI and cybersecurity opportunities.

Cybersecurity becomes another services opportunity

SentinelOne's Singularity Platform combines endpoint protection, endpoint detection and response (EDR), extended detection and response (XDR), managed detection and response (MDR), cloud security, identity threat detection and AI SIEM capabilities into a unified platform.

The platform also includes Purple AI, SentinelOne's AI-powered security capability designed to support autonomous threat detection and faster response to security incidents.

For partners, however, the larger significance may lie in the services opportunity surrounding the technology.

Cybersecurity partners are looking beyond product margins and towards recurring revenue generated through managed security services, threat monitoring, incident response and technical support.

Distributors are responding by differentiating through architecture expertise, technical resources, enablement and services support rather than traditional fulfilment models alone.

That direction closely mirrors Redington's own evolution.

In an earlier interview with CRN India, Sridhar argued that partner growth depends on expanding capabilities rather than simply expanding partner numbers. He also highlighted Redington's investments in technical expertise, enablement and shared services resources to help partners participate in emerging technology opportunities.

"Redington's foray as a technology ecosystem orchestrator is reflected in its growing portfolio of advanced solutions and commitment to enabling partners with service-led support that helps safeguard the IT ecosystem," Sridhar said while announcing the SentinelOne partnership.

He added that the collaboration addresses AI-driven emerging threats while giving SentinelOne access to Redington's broad market presence.

"Redington is present across both traditional IT and cloud ecosystems, enabling SentinelOne with greater access across India's diverse geographies," he said.

The partnership gives SentinelOne access to Redington's established channel ecosystem while providing partners with another platform around which they can build managed security offerings, technical services and recurring revenue streams.

For Redington, the agreement represents another step in the company's ongoing effort to help partners transition from product resale towards services-led, outcome-driven engagements, a strategy the distributor has consistently highlighted across its cloud, AI and cybersecurity businesses.
