Redington has partnered with Anytron to expand its digital printing portfolio with digital label finishing solutions for the Indian market. The move strengthens Redington’s presence in the production printing ecosystem by extending its offerings beyond print engines into end-to-end label production workflows.

The partnership enables Redington to offer integrated solutions covering the full label production cycle, from printing to finishing, aimed at improving workflow efficiency for label converters and packaging customers.

With this collaboration, Redington will introduce Anytron’s portfolio of digital finishing technologies in India, targeting growing demand for short-run, on-demand and customised label production.

Anytron’s solutions include systems for lamination, die-cutting, slitting, trimming and rewinding.

These capabilities will help address operational gaps in the post-print stage, which often acts as a bottleneck in label production workflows.

As demand for customised packaging and faster turnaround times continues to grow, finishing operations have become a critical pressure point for converters. The partnership aims to address this gap by offering compact and digital-first finishing systems that can be deployed across different production environments.

The addition of finishing capabilities also complements Redington’s existing digital printing portfolio, which includes solutions such as HP Indigo presses. With both printing and finishing capabilities under its ecosystem, Redington is positioning itself to enable integrated production environments for customers.

The company said this integrated approach can help improve workflow control and operational efficiency by reducing dependencies on separate systems for printing and finishing.

Redington’s pan-India distribution network and service infrastructure will play a key role in expanding the reach of Anytron’s solutions. The company plans to make these technologies accessible across metros as well as Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, where demand for digital printing solutions is increasing.

The expansion into smaller cities reflects a broader trend in the printing and packaging industry, where converters outside major urban centres are increasingly adopting digital technologies to serve localised and short-run production requirements.

Redington’s vice president, digital printing, K.S. Ramesh, said the partnership aligns with the company’s focus on strengthening the digital printing ecosystem with solutions that address evolving production requirements.

He said the combination of Anytron’s finishing technologies and Redington’s distribution and service capabilities will enable customers to move more seamlessly from print to finished output, while improving flexibility and efficiency in operations.

According to Anytron chief executive officer Michael Hyun, the Indian label and packaging market is at an inflection point, driven by demand for shorter runs, faster delivery timelines and greater flexibility from brand owners.

He said converters are increasingly looking for solutions that can reduce operational costs while supporting high-mix, short-run workflows.

He added that Anytron’s product range spans compact systems suitable for smaller operations as well as production-class solutions for high-volume environments.

Hyun said Redington’s market reach and distribution strength make it a strong partner for scaling these solutions across India.

The partnership further strengthens Redington’s focus on enabling digital transformation in the print and packaging industry through automation, efficiency and scalable workflow solutions.

As adoption of digital printing continues to grow, integrated finishing capabilities are expected to play a key role in improving production efficiency across the value chain.
