Schneider Electric elevates Sumati Sahgal to lead secure power and data centres in India
Will drive AI-ready infrastructure and cloud segment growth.
The company has tasked her with leading one of the company’s key growth businesses in the region.
In this role, Sahgal will have end-to-end responsibility for business performance, strategic execution, and customer experience across Schneider Electric’s secure power and data centre portfolio.
She will focus on accelerating growth in the cloud and service provider segment, expanding enterprise channels, and strengthening the company’s positioning in AI-ready digital infrastructure.
Her mandate also includes deploying Schneider Electric’s end-to-end specialist model across sales, delivery, and services, while deepening engagement with customers and channel partners.
Sahgal moves into the role from her previous position as vice president for home solutions in India, where she led the Homes and Distribution division and drove portfolio innovation and go-to-market transformation.
She brings over two decades of experience across technology and telecommunications, with a background in P&L management, business transformation, and customer-led growth.
Schneider Electric India’s zone president for Greater India and MD & CEO, Deepak Sharma, said Sahgal’s leadership will be key as demand for digital infrastructure accelerates.
“Her strategic vision and leadership will further strengthen our secure power and data centre ecosystem as India advances its digital and energy transition,” he said.
Sahgal said the role comes at a time when AI and digital technologies are driving demand for robust data centre infrastructure.
“Our focus will be on delivering resilient power, efficient cooling, and intelligent infrastructure solutions to help customers build scalable and sustainable digital ecosystems,” she said.
