SNP appoints Neeraj Athalye as India MD to expand partner-led SAP transformation

Athalye will lead SNP's India expansion as the company strengthens its partner ecosystem around SAP transformation, AI-ready data and its Kyano platform.

SNP has appointed Neeraj Athalye as managing director for India as the enterprise software company looks to expand its SAP transformation business through a partner-first strategy built around data management, cloud and AI-ready enterprise environments.

Based in Mumbai, Athalye will lead SNP's India expansion, with a mandate to help customers build the data foundations for business AI using the company's Kyano platform and Bluefield approach.

SNP sees an opportunity to combine its software capabilities with consulting, hyperscaler and technology partners to support customers across the transformation lifecycle.

"We see growth potential in India and across the Asia Pacific region," said Phillip Miltiades, president and managing director, Asia Pacific & Japan, SNP Group. "India represents one of the most exciting opportunities for SNP, with growing demand for solutions that simplify complex SAP transformation programs while minimising business disruption."

SNP plans to expand its ecosystem of consulting, hyperscaler and technology partners as it grows its India business.

The company intends to combine its Kyano platform with local delivery and industry expertise from partners, giving partners a larger role in supporting SAP transformation projects and helping customers reduce the time required to complete those programmes.

For partners, the opportunity is moving beyond traditional SAP implementation. SNP is positioning data migration, data management and AI readiness as connected requirements within SAP transformation projects.

The company said its partner-first approach is intended to help customers accelerate transformation while reducing disruption and improving time-to-value.

Athalye brings over 30 years of experience across enterprise software, SAP, cloud technologies and business leadership. His previous roles include senior positions at SAP, MatrixOne, Honda, John Deere, SUSE and Icertis.

SNP specifically highlighted his experience in building partner ecosystems, scaling businesses and developing customer-focused technology strategies.

Kyano expands from SAP migration into AI-ready data

The partner strategy is being supported by the expansion of SNP's Kyano platform, which brings together software for data management, migration and continuous assessment of SAP environments.

Kyano will support organisations throughout their SAP transformation journey, including migrations from different ERP source systems. The platform also integrates partner capabilities through SNP's ecosystem and Marketplace.

At its Transformation World event in Heidelberg in July, SNP introduced new Kyano capabilities to help customers prepare enterprise data environments for AI.

One of those capabilities is Kyano Lorna, an agentic AI layer that uses SNP's data transformation expertise to provide real-time insights and project-specific recommendations during transformation projects.

The company said the capability will help customers execute transformations faster while maintaining accuracy, reliability and compliance.

Kyano Oros extends the platform to unstructured data, which SNP estimates accounts for approximately 80 percent of enterprise data volumes.

The company sees access to unstructured data as an important requirement for organisations preparing their enterprise data environments for modern AI applications.

Together, the new capabilities position Kyano around a broader transformation requirement: moving enterprise data from legacy SAP environments into structures that can support business AI.

India becomes a key APAC growth market

SNP's India expansion comes as the company increases its presence across Asia Pacific and targets growing demand for SAP transformation.

The company said Indian organisations are investing in SAP modernisation as they adopt cloud technologies and increase spending on AI and digital transformation.

That creates an opportunity for SNP to expand its software-led approach while relying on partners for local delivery, consulting and industry expertise.

"Neeraj's experience will help us further expand our market presence and strengthen our partner-first strategy to deliver scalable, software-led transformation outcomes," Miltiades said.

The strategy also allows consulting and technology partners to build additional services around SNP's software, particularly as customers increasingly connect SAP modernisation with data preparation, cloud migration and AI adoption.

For SNP, the India opportunity is therefore not limited to SAP migration. The company is positioning its platform and partner ecosystem around the broader data and transformation requirements that enterprises will need as AI moves further into business operations.
