TCS launches Industrial AI lab with Nvidia to help enterprises move AI into production

The Bengaluru facility will help enterprises prototype, test and validate AI-led solutions for manufacturing and mobility before production deployment.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched the TCS Autonomous Engineering Lab Powered by Nvidia in Bengaluru, expanding its industrial AI capabilities with a dedicated facility designed to help enterprises move AI projects from pilots to production.

Located at TCS' Global Axis campus, the new facility will serve as a physical AI hub where customers can design, prototype, test and validate industrial AI solutions before deploying them across manufacturing, mobility and industrial operations.

Built on Nvidia AI infrastructure, the lab combines TCS' Industrial Autonomy and Engineering (IA&E) capabilities with Nvidia's AI platform to accelerate enterprise adoption of AI across engineering and manufacturing environments.

TCS said the facility will help enterprises move beyond proof-of-concept projects to large-scale production deployments.

Customers will be able to prototype and simulate AI use cases before deploying them in real-world environments, helping reduce implementation risks, shorten deployment timelines and improve time-to-market.

The lab will enable enterprises to embed AI across products, manufacturing plants and operational systems through TCS' Industrial Autonomy and Engineering capabilities.

According to the company, customers will be able to integrate AI into engineering and manufacturing workflows to build software-defined and autonomous operations.

The facility includes a portfolio of industrial AI solutions covering mobility, manufacturing and engineering applications.

Among them is TCS DriveSphere, a connected mobility platform that supports software-defined vehicles through digital twins, real-time data ingestion, predictive analytics and over-the-air lifecycle management.

The lab also supports AI-led mobility and autonomous systems, enabling customers to develop advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), autonomous driving capabilities, perception systems and intelligent decision-making using Nvidia's AI infrastructure.

For manufacturing customers, the facility includes physical AI use cases focused on predictive maintenance, automated quality inspection and real-time process optimisation.

TCS has also incorporated agentic AI and vision AI capabilities that enable contextual decision-making across engineering, manufacturing and service operations, helping enterprises automate complex operational processes.

In addition, the lab provides digital twin and simulation environments for vehicles, factories and industrial operations, allowing enterprises to validate designs, test different operating scenarios and optimise assets before deployment.

Reducing deployment risks

Beyond technology development, the facility will help enterprises accelerate implementation by providing a controlled environment for testing and validating industrial AI applications before they are rolled out into production environments.

The lab also provides customers access to Nvidia's AI ecosystem and computing infrastructure to support large-scale AI development and deployment.

TCS global head and vice president of Industrial Autonomy and Engineering, Sreenivasa Chakravarti, said the collaboration combines Nvidia's AI platform with TCS' engineering capabilities to help customers move AI projects from concept to enterprise deployment.

"As we move forward into our next phase and deepen our collaboration, we will build on this momentum into scaled deployment and enterprise-wide transformation for more customers, with confidence and speed," Chakravarti said.

Nvidia’s vice president, AI Consulting Partners organisation, Alvin DaCosta, said enterprises need specialised AI infrastructure to bridge the gap between simulation and production deployments.

The new facility builds on the long-standing collaboration between TCS and Nvidia across AI, accelerated computing and industry-specific solutions. With the launch of the Bengaluru lab, the partnership expands beyond technology integration into enterprise solution development, capability building and customer engagement, as manufacturers and mobility companies invest in industrial AI at scale.
