Tech Mahindra to set up centre of excellence for FICO platform

Focuses on core banking and decisioning projects for BFSI institutions.

Tech Mahindra has partnered with the American analytics software provider FICO to work with banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) organisations on core banking modernisation and decisioning projects.

As part of the partnership, Tech Mahindra will set up a dedicated Centre of Excellence (CoE) to support large-scale banking modernisation initiatives for global financial institutions.

The CoE will provide consulting, implementation and managed services to help enterprises deploy the FICO Platform and support business decision-making.

Tech Mahindra will use its expertise in digital business transformation, cloud-native architectures, data engineering and analytics to integrate the FICO Platform into complex banking environments.

This will help simplify integration of FICO Platform within complex banking ecosystems and help reduce implementation risk and time-to-value.

FICO’s vice president, global partners and alliance, Alexandre Graff, said businesses are looking for the fastest way to get value from FICO Platform.

By leveraging Tech Mahindra’s FICO-trained experts, proprietary accelerators, and ready-to-deploy integrations, businesses can reduce implementation risk and fast-track digital transformation journeys, Graff added.

Core banking and decisioning focus

The partnership will support financial institutions in bringing multiple decisioning systems into a single platform.

Tech Mahindra will roll out skill development and enablement programmes to train consultants on FICO’s decisioning tools.

The initiatives aim to help enterprises move from pilot projects to production deployments using certified talent, reusable accelerators and industry-aligned solutions.

Tech Mahindra’s president and head, Europe business, Harshul Asnani, said enterprises are struggling to derive meaningful returns from digital transformation investments.

This challenge is amplified by a global shortage of data scientists and system architects, resulting in delayed implementations and fragmented decision-making, said Asnani.

The partnership addresses this gap, bringing together FICO’s analytics platform with Tech Mahindra’s implementation expertise, he added.

While the initial focus is on BFSI, the scope of the CoE will extend beyond banking, as Tech Mahindra and FICO jointly develop industry-specific solutions leveraging FICO Platform across additional sectors.
