UST partners Evaaya to launch UST Nimbus for design-led GCC build and scale
Targets shift from execution-focused centres to value-driven operating models.
UST has partnered with Evaaya to launch UST Nimbus, a design-led operating model aimed at building and scaling Global Capability Centers (GCCs).
The offering focuses on enabling GCCs to move beyond execution roles and operate as value-driven centres aligned with enterprise strategy.
UST Nimbus combines advisory, design, and execution into a unified build–operate–scale approach, integrating UST’s engineering and AI capabilities with Evaaya’s GCC advisory expertise.
UST’s senior vice president, Bharath Krishnaswamy, said, “At UST, our first-hand experience scaling global teams gives us the insight required to solve critical issues and deliver sustainable transformation through a design-first, full-stack delivery model. UST Nimbus reflects a shift in how GCCs are built, transforming them from cost-saving centers to strategic engines of innovation, IP creation, and enterprise value.”
“It brings together UST’s expertise in scaling global teams with a design-led, full-stack approach to building, operating, and continuously optimising GCCs for long-term performance. With this model, organisations can move faster, retain critical capabilities, and continuously innovate at scale, delivering lasting value across the enterprise,” said Krishnaswamy.
The launch comes as GCCs continue to shift from cost-efficiency models to enterprise innovation hubs, with organisations under pressure to reduce costs while accelerating innovation and retaining control over talent and intellectual property.
UST said the model is designed to address these requirements by creating GCCs that are aligned with enterprise goals from the outset, rather than being structured only around delivery capacity.
Focuses on talent, IP ownership, and enterprise alignment
UST Nimbus moves beyond traditional GCC models that prioritise talent access and infrastructure setup.
It introduces a practitioner-led approach, where operating models are designed by leaders with experience in building and scaling GCCs.
The framework aligns the GCC’s structure, culture, and processes with the enterprise from the beginning, enabling stronger integration and more consistent delivery outcomes.
Talent strategy forms a core component of the model.
UST said GCCs built under Nimbus treat talent as a competitive advantage through structured workforce planning and employer branding.
The model also focuses on retaining intellectual property within the organisation.
GCCs are designed to build and own data models, platforms, and products, reducing reliance on external vendors and enabling faster development cycles.
UST Nimbus incorporates AI-driven talent strategies to support hiring, engagement, and scaling of teams.
This approach is aimed at improving workforce productivity while maintaining continuity in skills and expertise.
“By shifting the focus to strategic alignment and value generation, this joint offering delivers measurable impact and empowers clients,” said Evaaya’s EVP and founder, Vaidyanathan Seshan.
UST said the outcome is a GCC that operates as an integrated part of the enterprise, contributing to innovation, product development, and long-term value creation rather than functioning as a standalone delivery unit.
