Wipro, Rubrik turn cyber resilience into a managed service opportunity

The new Enterprise Resilience as a Service offering combines AI, cyber recovery and consulting services to help organisations move beyond traditional backup and disaster recovery.

Wipro and Rubrik have launched Enterprise Resilience as a Service (ERaaS), a consulting-led offering to help organisations manage cyber resilience as an ongoing business capability rather than a periodic disaster recovery function.

The service combines Wipro's consulting, AI and managed services capabilities with Rubrik's cyber recovery platform to help enterprises prevent, withstand and recover from cyber and operational disruptions.

Organisations face growing pressure to maintain business continuity as they manage complex technology environments and accelerate AI adoption.

According to the companies, ERaaS treats resilience as a continuously managed, enterprise-wide function spanning technology, operations and business processes. It enables organisations to continuously assess their resilience posture, support recovery decisions and automate recovery workflows.

The objective is to make resilience a proactive capability rather than one that is activated only during incidents.

The service will use WINGS, Wipro's AI-powered delivery platform, to operationalise AI capabilities across resilience assessment, monitoring and recovery processes.

Focus on business outcomes

Wipro global business head, cloud, infrastructure and security services Satish Yadavalli said the service differs from traditional resilience engagements by starting with business requirements rather than technology implementation.

"Where most resilience engagements start with technology, Wipro's starts with the business use cases, and that distinction is what makes ERaaS stand out," Yadavalli said.

According to Wipro, the service will help identify critical business systems, understand operational impact tolerances and establish recovery priorities before defining resilience frameworks and recovery strategies.

The company said it will work with customers to develop resilience-by-design architectures, governance frameworks and recovery playbooks that align technology recovery with business outcomes.

This approach creates opportunities for services-led engagements around resilience assessments, governance, compliance and ongoing operational management rather than one-time infrastructure deployments.

Built on Rubrik's cyber recovery platform

ERaaS is built on Rubrik's cyber and data resilience platform and includes capabilities such as immutable data protection, threat-aware recovery and rapid identification of clean recovery points.

The platform also supports rollback of AI-driven changes and protection of critical identity systems.

According to Rubrik, the offering aims to help organisations recover not only data and infrastructure but also identities, which are becoming central to cyberattack recovery efforts.

Rubrik chief solutions officer Alok Agrawal said organisations need recovery capabilities that can operate as part of a broader resilience strategy.
