Infor and AWS expand partnership to bring more AI to industry software
Infor is expanding its long-term partnership with AWS to roll out more generative AI tools across industry-specific software.
Infor is working more closely with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to bring generative AI to more businesses. The two companies have expanded their ongoing partnership, with the goal of making it easier for customers to use industry-specific cloud tools and AI models.
This new agreement builds on years of collaboration. Infor has been part of the AWS Partner Network for more than ten years, and the two companies have worked together on cloud deployments across sectors like healthcare, manufacturing, and food production. Now, they're focusing more on using generative AI to help customers streamline work and make better decisions.
The agreement brings together AWS's AI and cloud infrastructure with Infor's experience tailoring software to different industry needs. Infor designs tools for more than 2,000 "micro verticals"—niche segments within larger industries. This kind of targeted software, paired with AWS services like Amazon Bedrock, is expected to bring faster and more relevant insights to users.
By using AWS's generative AI tools, Infor says it can help companies spot problems earlier, adjust faster, and make day-to-day work more efficient. These tools may also improve customer interactions by offering more accurate information and support. Many of these AI-powered offerings are available through AWS Marketplace, a platform that helps businesses find, buy, and deploy software.
AWS Marketplace has also become a key channel for Infor. Over the past year, the company saw a major jump in revenue from this platform—more than 900% growth from 2023 to 2024. During the same time period, deals launched jointly by both companies grew by more than 400%. These figures point to a growing interest in cloud software that is built for specific industries and ready to run on AWS.
Infor has also earned six AWS Competencies—credentials that recognize a company's ability to deliver strong cloud-based solutions in certain areas. These include things like software development, system integration, and security.
Executives from both companies say the expanded partnership will support faster deployment, tighter integration, and more reliable performance across different customer environments. By collaborating, Infor and AWS aim to make complex systems easier to manage, particularly for firms looking to move more of their operations to the cloud.
Jeanne Newberry, a senior executive at Infor, said the goal is to offer AI-powered tools that are built around the specific needs of each industry. "This collaboration enhances our capacity to deliver superior, industry-specific technological advancements," she said.
A customer from GMM Pfaudler added that the joint work between the two companies has helped them manage data better and improve decision-making. "It empowers us to streamline operations… and deliver better outcomes," said Elisabetta Venezia, Group Director of ERP System & Data Management.
AWS's Chris Grusz said the partnership has already shown results. "The 900% revenue growth in AWS Marketplace demonstrates the strong demand for Infor's offerings," he said, pointing to the mix of cloud tools and industry experience as a key driver for digital transformation.
