NCS unveils Sunshine AI, launches S$130 million AI initiative across APAC

Developed by NCS, Sunshine AI is a suite of AI tools and accelerators that transform how organizations develop intelligent solutions.

NCS will be investing S$130 million over the next three years as it looks to drive AI across the Asia Pacific region. The leading technology services firm also launched Sunshine AI at its NCS Impact forum in Singapore.

“Expanding our APAC footprint and doubling down on collaborations with technology leaders are still important in a bifurcated world. The investment we are making over the next three years and our blueprint anchored by three pillars – Intelligentisation, Internationalisation and Inspiration – will better enable our people and clients to create new business outcomes and build a resilient, innovative future with AI,” said NCS CEO Ng Kuo Pin.

For NCS, intelligentisation is a structured, holistic approach to embedding intelligence into the core of business processes, government workflows, and human experiences. This means designing AI systems not as standalone tools, but as integral components of decision-making, service delivery, and operational flow. Central to this are NCS-proprietary tools, accelerators, and methodologies.

In his keynote address, Gan Kim Yong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Singapore said he is glad of NCS’s S$130 million investment to support its clients in scaling AI adoption over the next three years.

“Through system integrators such as NCS, companies can deploy AI more efficiently and effectively, and in time to come, develop the capabilities to scale their own AI solutions,” said the minister.

The minister also hopes more businesses can leverage AI for their operations in the region, through the use of locally relevant models and applications. This will not only help companies tap into new markets in the region but also drive the growth of the digital economy in Southeast Asia.

“By working together as government and industry, as well as with our unions, we can institutionalize the use of AI within companies, develop AI-driven models and solutions that are locally relevant, and equip our workforce with AI skills, so that we can transform our enterprises and workers to harness the power of AI,” he concluded.

Sunshine AI

Sunshine AI is a suite of AI tools and accelerators that transform how organizations develop intelligent solutions. Developed by NCS, Sunshine AI helps organizations accelerate their adoption across delivery and operations. It is part of NCS’ broader commitment to Intelligentisation - a structured, enterprise-grade approach to embedding AI deeply into organizational workflows.

Taking a deeper look into Sunshine AI, the tool has three segments - Sunshine.Coder, Sunshine.Operations and Sunshine.Productivity. It is built for developers, IT operations teams, and corporate users and comprises tools that are embedded with NCS-curated knowledge and designed to work within enterprise constraints.

Sunshine.Coder is an AI coding assistant that supports language conversion, test generation, and code analysis. It is embedded with NCS’ coding standards and leverages a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) engine for context-aware support grounded in proprietary documentation, best practices, and real project assets.

Sunshine.Operations is an AIOps platform designed to automate incident triage, system log analysis, and operational task flows. Its key features include pre-trained, plug-and-play models for rapid deployment as well as integrated capabilities with existing IT systems management tools. Some of the key use cases include incident ticket analytics, system log monitoring, and alert automation

Sunshine.Productivity is a suite of tools that enhance day-to-day tasks such as summarization, content retrieval, and secure document handling. The tool is powered by a custom LLM environment called NCSgpt, and connected to internal knowledge bases like SharePoint and wikis. It is built on a secure, ring-fenced architecture that ensures data is neither transmitted to nor used for training external LLMs and is cost-efficient and scalable.

As Singtel’s AI implementation arm, the Sunshine.AI suite will be used by the telco and NCS to identify, shape and realize high-impact opportunities. This includes using AI to transform operations, customer experience, and strengthen its data, AI and cloud infrastructure.
