Qlik doubles down on ISV support as organizations revamp AI strategies in APAC
AI-related investments in Asia Pacific are projected to outpace overall digital technology spending by 1.7 times, with GenAI expected to have an estimated regional economic impact of US$1.6 trillion by 2027.
According to an IDC InfoBrief commissioned by Qlik and co-sponsored by AWS, 80% of Asia Pacific organizations are rethinking data management as poor data quality, bias, and complex engineering cause one in five AI projects to fail. Indeed, having the right data management is imperative for successful AI implementation for any organization today.
Apart from poor data quality, the report also revealed that 35% of organizations surveyed struggle with inconsistent, outdated, and biased data. These challenges continue to erode trust and hinder decision-making, thus limiting their ability to successfully scale GenAI initiatives.
“An AI-driven future starts with two key priorities: building a strong data foundation and identifying the right business use cases for AI,” commented Dr. Chris Marshall, Vice President, Data, Analytics, AI, Sustainability, and Industry Research, IDC.
“From business intelligence to fraud prevention, AI offers vast opportunities – but to unlock its full potential, organizations must prioritize data integrity, governance, and innovation,” he added.
While the challenges are present, it is surprisingly not slowing down AI investments. The report stated that AI-related investments in the region are projected to outpace overall digital technology spending by 1.7 times, with GenAI expected to have an estimated regional economic impact of US$1.6 trillion by 2027.
Organizations in the region are overcoming these challenges by turning to low-code and no-code AI tools to simplify GenAI implementation. Notably, 74% see these tools as critical for AI expansion, allowing developers to focus on higher value tasks.
For Maurizio Garavello, Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific & Japan at Qlik, as organizations focus to agentic AI in 2025, success depends on high-quality, accessible, and well-governed data.
“At Qlik, we equip organizations with AI-driven data and analytics strategies to reduce bias, improve automation, and speed up decision-making, unlocking AI’s full value,” said Garvello.
Interestingly, when it comes to strengthening GenAI capabilities, 73% of organizations feel cloud migration is a top priority. Cloud migration enables organizations to not just have better access to data but also have better capabilities in managing data for developing and deploying AI use cases.
Doubling down on ISV support
Given that APAC organizations are prioritizing cloud migration, Qlik has also launched Qlik for ISVs, a new dedicated team and set of capabilities built on Qlik’s end-to-end cloud platform, tailored to the needs of independent software vendors.
The offering enables ISVs to build robust strategies for data integration, quality, and governance, and to embed AI and analytics directly into their applications to power real-time insights and smarter decision-making. This includes enabling software vendors to address the growing demand for data-driven applications and Data-as-a Service.
Taking a deeper look at Qlik for ISVs’ end-to-end capabilities, it includes a range of enhancements to the Qlik Cloud platform, designed to help software vendors build smarter, more agile applications. These include seamless web integration, capabilities to provide smarter and more predictive insights in real time as well as capabilities to unlock unstructured data.
Apart from that, Qlik for ISVs will enable simplified deployment and management that can reduce operational complexity, enhanced end user authoring and built-in security and governance to ensure data integrity and compliance with integrated governance.
“Our goal is to make it easier for ISVs to build great applications on Qlik’s end-to-end platform. With the latest enhancements to our cloud offering, we’re helping software vendors move faster, reduce complexity, and deliver real-time, AI-powered insights that customers rely on. Qlik for ISVs is about giving partners the foundation they need to innovate and differentiate—at scale,” explained David Zember, Senior Vice President, WW Channels and Alliances at Qlik.
For Rosagrazia Bombini, Senior Vice President, Global ISV Industry at Qlik, the creation of the ISV industry division is the best service Qlik can offer these organizations to help them take advantage of all the opportunities for data monetization and digital transformation, while also aligning with their go-to-market and business models.
Qlik for ISVs unifies Qlik’s full platform—data integration, analytics, and AI—into one offering built for software vendors. The team partners closely with ISVs, and with AWS, to accelerate deployment, drive innovation, and help vendors differentiate through smarter, faster, data-driven applications.
