Pravar Gautam joins Salesforce from AWS

The channel veteran has joined Salesforce as the Vice President of Alliances & Channels for ASEAN.

After spending eight years at AWS, Pravar Gautam has joined Salesforce as the Vice President of Alliances & Channels for ASEAN. The channel veteran’s new role will see him lead the company’s efforts to drive robust partner-led growth in a rapidly expanding region.

Committed to building a strong ecosystem of partners, Gautam will focus on enabling partners to drive successful AI-led digital transformations for Salesforce customers, while navigating the complexities of the rapidly evolving business landscape. With a proven track record of accelerating innovation and fostering long-term, high-impact collaborations, Gautam’s extensive experience in technology and strategic partnerships is expected to drive the channel ecosystem for Salesforce.

“My focus will be on deepening our collaboration with partners and strengthening Agentforce capabilities to accelerate growth and innovation across the region. Together, we will empower organizations throughout ASEAN to transform into agentic enterprises,” said Gautam in a LinkedIn post announcing his new role.

Gautam’s new role comes at an interesting time for Salesforce as the tech vendor’s recently released Agentic Enterprise Index showed the number of agents created and deployed within participating organizations grew by 119% in the first half of 2025. The number of actions completed by agents across use cases also grew at an average rate of 80% month-over-month with the top three areas in which AI agents are being used are customer service, internal/business automation and sales.

Gautam also stated that “a strong partner ecosystem is a critical engine for customer success. In a diverse region like ASEAN, partners are essential in bringing the power of the Salesforce platform to customers across countries, industries and customer segments.”

Prior to Salesforce, Pravar served as the Head of Partner Core for AWS in Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), where he spearheaded strategic partnerships, migrations and modernization initiatives, partner enablement as well as partner program and investments to accelerate the adoption of AWS through, and with partners.

Apart from paying tribute to his previous role in AWS, Gautam also said he was privileged

to work alongside great mentors, leaders, teams, customers, and partners on initiatives that will leave a lasting impact.

Gautam has over two decades of diverse leadership experience across sales, customer success, consulting and channel management, having built and led go-to-market organizations in APJ and EMEA for high-growth technology and consulting businesses.

“I look forward to connecting with partners and customers and driving the next wave of success within the Salesforce Ohana,” he added.
