Cohesity appoints new Country Director of Sales for Malaysia
Industry veteran Emily Chua has been appointed as the new Country Director of Sales for Malaysia.
Cohesity has appointed Emily Chua as the new Country Director of Sales for Malaysia. The industry veteran, with over 26 years of experience in the enterprise technology space in the country, will Cohesity’s overall business strategy, sales operations, and growth strategy in Malaysia.
With a wealth of leadership experience, Chua has built high-performing teams to cultivate extensive customer and partner networks in the country. In her new role, Chua will look to grow Cohesity’s presence in the country as well, given the increasing need for data protection.
“After taking a short break from my career, I am ready for my new adventure, aiming to bring value to our customers and technology partners with the innovations from Cohesity and awesome team!” said Chua in a LinkedIn post on her appointment.
Chua joins Cohesity from Dell Technologies, where she played an instrumental role in spearheading the go-to-market strategies to align with the organization’s business transformation agenda.
Prior to that, Chua was EMC Computer Systems (M) Sdn Bhd, whereby her leadership in the enterprise sales team delivered multi-million-dollar projects and successive year-on-year business revenue growth. Chua also had successful stints in the Malaysian operations of SCS Computer Systems and Wincor Nixdorf.
Meanwhile, Lim Hsin Yin, Vice President of Sales for ASEAN, Cohesity mentioned that Cohesity has witnessed evolving customer requirements in Malaysia over the last few years. This has been rampant as organizations put priority on addressing issues related to cloud migration, cybersecurity and compliance.
“With Emily’s strong track record in delivering business results and sales excellence, I am confident that our customers and partners will benefit greatly from her commitment and proven ability to address pertinent cyber resiliency requirements in Malaysia,” said Lim.
Chua also believes that in an increasingly complex cyber threat landscape, cyber resiliency is no longer optional for organizations to ensure business continuity.
