Ong Whee Teck is Kyndryl’s new Head of Consult for ASEAN & Korea

With over 30 years of deep industry expertise, Ong will drive Kyndryl’s Consult business in the region

Kyndryl has appointed Ong Whee Teck as its Head of Consult for ASEAN & Korea. In his new role, Ong will focus on enabling customers in accelerating their digital transformation and driving innovation through Kyndryl Consult.

Kyndryl Consult brings together technology advisory and implementation expertise with the insights of AI-powered open integration digital business platform Kyndryl Bridge and the co-creation of Kyndryl Vital to drive business outcomes.

In an interview with CRN Asia earlier this year, Andrew Lim, Managing Director, Kyndryl ASEAN & Korea said the consulting services by Kyndryl Consult is showing positive signs of growth around the world. In Southeast Asia, he said Kyndryl Consult have seen increased opportunities among customers as well.

“Kyndryl Consult is a business unit within Kyndryl that we are growing globally and in Asia, accelerating our customer’s digital transformation and aligning business outcomes with the technology that drives them. With a long history in the industry, the Kyndryl Consult team is well-equipped to advise clients on all areas of their enterprise infrastructure, ensure it is optimized for success, enables a culture of innovation, and gain visibility from a sustainability perspective,” said Lim in the interview.

As such, Ong’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for Kyndryl in the region. A veteran in the industry with over three decades of experience, Ong’s appointment further strengthens the company’s leadership team as it continues to expand its consulting capabilities and deliver greater value to customers in the region.
