Rapid7 launches new PACT Partner Program

Rapid7 also announced the promotion of David Quist to Director of Channel Sales for APJ.

Rapid7 has launched a new PACT Partner Program to equip partners with tools, training, and resources to meet the expanding security needs of customers in an increasingly complex global threat landscape. The security vendor, known for its extended risk and threat detection hopes the new PACT partner program will be able to support its partners in Australia, New Zealand, and across the Asia-Pacific and Japan region.

With the cyberthreat continuing to evolve in the region and becoming more sophisticated to deal with, the PACT Program is designed to deliver a supportive and structured program for partners and help customers take command of their attack surface.

Specifically, partners will be enabled through a modernized Partner Portal as well as having access to tailored engagement programs and specializations, and an all-new Partner Training Academy. As such, Rapid7 hopes the full channel community, including resellers, distributors, systems integrators and service providers will be able to benefit from this.

According to Rob Dooley, APJ Vice President and General Manager, the PACT Program is the result of listening to and working collaboratively with the partner community to best understand their business challenges and opportunities. Dooley believes the significant program update ensures our partners are enabled and supported to drive maximum impact in line with their near- and long-term business objectives.

Taking a deeper look into the PACT Program, it includes new tiers and classifications, designed to empower and unite all partner types under a single, dynamic program. Partners will have access to more tailored engagement opportunities and set clearer performance expectations. Furthermore, valuable tier benefits will recognize and reward success, enhancing profitability and growth.

Key elements of the partner program include a modernized partner portal that will offer partners deeper engagement and seamless, real-time collaboration with Rapid7 via a redesigned interface that provides training and automation to support the entire customer lifecycle.

The platform will also offer tailored engagement programs and specializations. This includes two new PACT specializations, MSSP Specialization and Service Delivery Specialization, for an enhanced suite of tech resources and operational efficiencies with simplified pricing models launching later this year.

There is also a new partner training academy that equips partners with practical skills and technical knowledge to enhance customer value. The partner academy offers a variety of competency-based courses and certifications that are tailored to the sales and pre-sales technical roles, as well as specialized curriculum, to enable partners to deliver their own post-sales services.

A new leader in sales

Apart from the partner program, Rapid7 also announced the promotion of David Quist to Director of Channel Sales for APJ.

“David Quist has been leading our sales team in Australia and New Zealand. His knowledge and experience will be instrumental in supporting our channel ecosystem, enabling their growth, and supporting our mutual customers,” added Dooley.

With more than 25 years’ experience in the Australian and New Zealand technology sector, Quist has worked with international and local vendors such as Dimension Data, Symantec, and Nuix. Having spent more than seven years with Rapid7, Quist spent more than three years in the role of Senior Manager, Southern Region Sales, ANZ.

Commenting on his new role, Quist said, “Customers across the APJ region face a variety of significant cyber security challenges. For our partners, this threat landscape provides a multitude of growth opportunities, driven by the need for organizations to take command of their attack surface and defend against complex and sophisticated cyber threats.”
