Samsung Electronics Singapore appoints Jeffrey Hahn as new President
Veteran leader to spearhead AI-driven growth and innovation in Singapore.
Samsung Electronics has appointed Jeffrey Hahn as the new President for Singapore. With two decades of global experience across diverse markets and strategic functions, Hahn will oversee the company's cross-functional operations in Singapore. This includes shaping the overall strategy and guiding Samsung Electronics toward the next phase of growth and innovation in the country.
Samsung Electronics hopes Hahn will bring Samsung AI’s vision to life in Singapore. This includes driving AI adoption across personal and home ecosystems, spanning a diverse range of devices, including mobile phones, wearables, home appliances, and visual displays.
According to Samsung Electronics, by democratizing AI, Hahn aims to empower individuals, businesses, and communities to leverage its transformative potential, enhancing their lives and experiences. With a steadfast focus on security and privacy, he will prioritize strengthening partnerships in Singapore, ensuring users benefit from trusted, secure, and seamless connected experiences.
Hahn’s priority also includes establishing a strong foundation that supports sustainable growth. By emphasizing operational excellence and adopting innovative strategies, he aims to enhance efficiency and productivity across all areas. As the tech landscape continues to evolve, this dual approach ensures Samsung is capable of meeting the demands.
Prior to being appointed president of Samsung for Singapore, Hahn served as group leader in Samsung’s sales innovation team, where he spearheaded initiatives to enhance operational excellence and optimize business outcomes. A Samsung veteran since 2004, Hahn also held leadership roles across multiple markets in Europe and Asia Pacific, leading diverse functions such as sales, strategic planning, and regional management.
“Singapore’s ambitious vision for AI creates unprecedented opportunities for Samsung to align with and contribute to the nation’s transformative journey. At Samsung, we remain committed to strengthening our leadership in AI by seamlessly integrating its capabilities into our users’ everyday lives while prioritizing security and privacy as core principles. Our mission is to empower Singaporeans with the confidence and trust needed to embrace AI, enabling them to thrive in an AI-powered future,” said Hahn on his new appointment and goals for his new role.
Samsung Electronics remains at the forefront of technology, especially with its latest AI innovations for mobile and home ecosystems. Last year, Samsung Electronics introduced Galaxy AI on its mobile devices to provide users with greater use of AI on their mobile device.
Samsung Galaxy AI is a suite of AI features that use both Samsung's proprietary AI and cloud solutions from Google Cloud. The partnership between Samsung and Google Cloud aims to create new mobile experiences that improve communication and connection.
