Westcon-Comstor has appointed Manish Israni as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for India and countries in the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) region. Israni will oversee strategic technology programs, engineering, and IT service delivery for businesses in the region.

An industry veteran, Israni has over three decades of leadership in the IT industry involving key segments such as technology infrastructure, hyperscale data centers, global IT enabled services (ITES) and more. Israni aims to utilize his expertise to spearhead Westcon-Comstor’s innovation and technology roadmap in the region.

“I am excited to join Westcon-Comstor during a pivotal phase of growth in these markets. With digital acceleration at the heart of every enterprise agenda, I look forward to building a resilient, future-ready technology foundation that empowers customers across sectors,” said Israni.

Before taking on his current role, Israni served as Executive Vice President and CIO at Yotta Infrastructure, where he played a key role in building a comprehensive business unit offering services across networking, security, cloud, and managed IT. Over the course of his career, he has held several prominent leadership positions, including overseeing IT infrastructure for India’s largest greenfield digital initiative, which catered to over 500 million subscribers.

He has also received industry acclaim for his work in areas such as cloud migration, virtualization, DevOps adoption, and strategic outsourcing, successfully leading programs valued at over US$100 million.

As part of his new role, Israni is also tasked with enhancing Westcon-Comstor and Broadcom’s abilities in cloud platforms, managed services, cybersecurity, and enterprise digital solutions.

As Westcon-Comstor is the inaugural Catalyst Partner under Broadcom’s Enterprise Security Group (ESG)Catalyst Initiative within the APAC Region, this will also include leading the go-to-market and customer relationships for the Symantec and Carbon Black portfolio with sole distribution across the region. The company’s collaboration with Broadcom continues to expand significantly given its expertise in cybersecurity, expansive channel reach, and strong partner ecosystem.

“Manish brings a wealth of experience and a visionary approach that aligns perfectly with our strategic goals in India and the SAARC region,” said Patrick Aronson, APAC Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Westcon-Comstor.

“His leadership will be instrumental in accelerating our innovation agenda and delivering exceptional value as we continue to grow our presence in India and the SAARC markets,” added Aronson.
