Alibaba Cloud bolsters partner ecosystem with US$60 million investment
Among the investment and strategic collaborations with partners announced at the Alibaba Cloud Summit in Singapore include Atos, Crayon, Dify, PingCAP, DXC Technology, Squirro, and more.
With over 12,000 partners globally, Alibaba Cloud relies heavily on its channel ecosystem to reach and support its customers around the world. In Southeast Asia, the Chinese cloud vendor has announced an investment of over US$ 60 million within its fiscal year to empower the partner ecosystem and accelerate AI innovation.
The new investment will see collaborations with several partners in the region, focusing on different industries and verticals. Announced in conjunction with the Alibaba Cloud summit in Singapore, the investment will be strategically allocated to collaborative marketing campaigns, incentive rebate programs, and capability-building initiatives, fostering mutually beneficial growth between the cloud provider and its partners.
According to Raymond Ma, Vice President of Global Partners & Alliances at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, partners are the catalysts for its customer success, and this significant investment is a testament to the cloud vendor’s commitment to a shared growth model.
“By equipping our partners with advanced resources, dedicated incentives, and direct access to our cutting-edge AI technologies like our Qwen large language models, we are not just building a channel; Together, we are fostering a synergistic ecosystem that will accelerate digital transformation and unlock new possibilities for businesses globally in the AI era,” said Ma.
Specifically, the investment commitment is designed to help partners expand their customer base, enhance their technical expertise, and accelerate the adoption of advanced cloud and AI solutions for businesses globally.
Some of the new expanded partnerships announced in the summit with leading technology providers include Dify, Squiro, PingCAP, Atos, Crayon, DXC Technology, Bespin Global Indonesia and Electrum Cloud.
Taking a deeper look into each partnership, Dify is a leading agentic AI application development platform that has teamed up with Alibaba Cloud to bring its Dify Enterprise to the Alibaba Cloud Global Marketplace.
The partnership combines Dify’s cutting-edge AI workflow orchestration and powerful LLMOps capabilities with Alibaba Cloud’s robust infrastructure and comprehensive ecosystem, which includes the Model Studio generative AI platform. This integration will empower enterprises of all sizes to build and deploy LLM-powered applications more easily and with greater productivity than ever before.
The partnership with Squiro, a leading enterprise-ready generative AI provider specialising in search, insights, and automation, will see the launching of Squirro Gen AI Platform on the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace. This collaboration brings Squirro’s low-code, enterprise-ready Gen AI platform to customers starting in Asia-Pacific, equipping businesses in financial services, manufacturing, and retail with advanced AI-powered decision intelligence capabilities.
Meanwhile, PingCAP’s partnership will see its advanced distributed SQL database TiDB on Alibaba Cloud Marketplace. This collaboration delivers a powerful, AI-ready database solution that simplifies the development and deployment of AI applications with serverless elasticity, built-in vector search and HTAP (Hybrid Transactional/Analytical Processing) capabilities for unified real-time analytics and transactional workflows.
Another global partner, Atos, will see an expanded international reseller partnership in addition to the existing Managed Service Provider partnership with Alibaba Cloud. Through this collaboration, Atos becomes a Reseller Partner for Alibaba Cloud, bringing Alibaba Cloud’s full portfolio of cloud infrastructure, AI models and advanced technologies to enterprise customers in International Markets.
Regionally, Crayon is building on its global collaboration with Alibaba Cloud as it has now been appointed regional resellers in Singapore and the Philippines. The partnership brings MSPs and ISVs direct access to Alibaba Cloud technologies, backed by Crayon’s deep cloud, security and AI expertise, helping partners drive cloud adoption, digital transformation, and accelerate go-to-market.
Also announced was a partnership with DXC Technology whereby its advanced cloud solutions and world-class AI services to Asian markets will be on Alibaba Cloud. By combining DXC’s expertise in IT modernization and data architecture optimization with Alibaba Cloud’s secure cloud infrastructure and cutting-edge AI capabilities, the collaboration seeks to elevate performance, competitiveness, and customer experience across clients’ IT ecosystems.
Over in Indonesia, Bespin Global Indonesia has entered a strategic partnership with Alibaba Cloud as its official Managed Service Provider (MSP) partner in Indonesia. A leading cloud MSP with deep expertise in cloud management, the collaboration strengthens Bespin Global Indonesia’s commitment to accelerating Al-powered innovation and cloud adoption across industries in the region.
Finally, Electrum Cloud, which is part of the CloudMile Group in Indonesia has partnered Alibaba cloud to deliver customized AI solutions, technical support, and strategic advisory services to businesses of all sizes across the country. The collaboration will also focus on AI talent development and empowering the developer community to foster greater innovation and creativity.
The collaborations and partnerships announced at the summit join Alibaba Cloud’s growing partner ecosystem. Other global Alibaba Cloud partners include Salesforce, Fortinet, IBM and Neo4j.
