SB C&S Corp to distribute Darktrace’s Active AI Security Platform in Japan
An establish IT distributor in Japan, the partnership with strengthen the SB C&S portfolio to offer more robust cybersecurity solutions to customers.
SB C&S Corp has entered into a distribution agreement with Darktrace to provide the cybersecurity vendor’s AI-based Active AI Security Platform to companies in Japan beginning today.
Darktrace’s ActiveAI Security Platform incorporates an AI agent type Cyber AI Analyst that automates advanced investigations based on Security Operation Center (SOC) Level 2 standards. With the capacity to perform 50,000 hours of analysis per year, the Cyber AI analyst provides the equivalent of 30 full-time employees, allowing security teams to rapidly scale their capabilities, augment their human analysts and fill vital skills gaps.
Given the increasing cybersecurity incidents in Japan, cybersecurity teams remained challenged in managing their security portfolio. Most cybersecurity teams in the country are looking for ways to improve their ability to proactively detect threats and protect their organizations, with automation becoming increasingly important to enable efficient and rapid response.
With the Darktrace platform suitable for all industries, organizations in Japan will be able to strengthen their response to ransomware and internal fraud. Be it the public sector, healthcare, manufacturing or retail companies, the platform will also enable these organizations to have a more controlled cybersecurity management as well as prevent production stoppages and loss of brand image due to cyber-attacks.
Among the main features of the platform include autonomous learning and AI threat detection capabilities, whereby the AI detects both known and zero-day attacks and insider fraud based on normal behaviour unique to each company, eliminating dependence on tailored rules.
Once a threat is detected, target communications are slowed or quarantined within seconds of detection to minimise damage without disrupting business operations. The platform also provides AI-driven SOC Level 2 investigation alerts. Specifically, the AI automatically analyses the cause and flow of attacks and summarises them in an easy-to-understand manner, greatly reducing investigation man-hours and false positives, allowing security analysts to respond quickly.
The platform also supports a wide range of environments. This includes capabilities to deploy physical, virtual, and cloud sensors with a single license for on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. There is no additional investment required to deploy in mixed IT environments.
Overall, the automated threat detection and response reduces the dependence of the Security Operation Center (SOC) on constantly adjusting rules. This contributes to the reduction of manpower and workload on the frontline.
