Thailand’s NSCA enhances cybersecurity capabilities with Elastic
Elastic supported NCSA’s cybersecurity efforts and implementation of Elastic Security across the Thai public sector by leading a hands-on Advanced Security Analytics workshop at their annual security training.
Elastic is collaborating with the National Cyber Security Agency of Thailand (NCSA) to bolster the nation’s cyber defence and resilience. This includes enhancing strengthening cybersecurity experts' skills, which is crucial to protecting Thailand’s critical digital infrastructure.
NCSA will also be using Elastic Security as its primary security solution for the annual National Cyber Exercise 2025 (NCX 2025). This collaboration supports Thailand’s declaration of 2025 as a Year of Cybersecurity, to protect its people, organizations, and the Thai economy from cyber threats.
Air Vice Marshal Amorn Chomchey, Secretary-General of NCSA, stated that “Elastic’s capabilities in Search and AI will be extremely important in establishing our cybersecurity stance, and also help agencies to innovate while mitigating potential risks.”
Taking a deeper look at the collaboration, Elastic Security will provide complete visibility across the entire attack surface that cybersecurity professionals, including Security Operations Centre (SOC) analysts, need to modernize their approach to detection, investigation, and response. For NCSA, it will promote Elastic Security for security information and event management (SIEM) within the organization, with plans to expand its use to other Thai government agencies in the coming year.
According to Ravi Rajendran, area vice president, ASEAN, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Korea at Elastic, public sector innovation needs to be scaled concurrently with risk management.
“Organizations in the ASEAN region struggle with threats due to a growing skills gap in cybersecurity professionals, a rapidly evolving threat landscape, and a lack of quality threat intelligence. The timeframe for identifying and addressing threats before they proliferate is now a matter of minutes. In Thailand, Elastic is working closely with NCSA, using search and AI capabilities and Elastic Security Labs’ quality threat intelligence as a force multiplier for public sector security teams,” said Rajendran.
“Our collaboration with NCSA is impactful to the Thai public and government agencies. Thailand has been focusing on a year of cybersecurity in 2025. Security will continue to be a significant focus as Thailand strengthens its stance against cyberattacks while the digital footprint of Thai organizations and consumers grows,” added Rajendran.
Elastic supported NCSA’s cybersecurity efforts and implementation of Elastic Security across the Thai public sector by leading a hands-on Advanced Security Analytics workshop at their annual security training. Over 1,000 cybersecurity practitioners from Thai government agencies, key industry organizations, such as the Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Finance, and other organizations under the Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) Group attended the event. Participants acquired critical skills in cybersecurity and AI to respond to rapidly evolving threats, using Elastic Security for AI-driven security analytics.
“NCSA supports Thai agencies adopting Elastic Security as the primary security platform. The agency will use Elastic Security for security information and event management (SIEM) within the organization, with plans to expand its use to other Thai government agencies in the coming year. Elastic will also participate in NCSA’s 2025 Cyber Range Exercise in December 2025, a simulated exercise designed to test the skills of public sector cybersecurity practitioners against a realistic cyberattack. Elastic solutions architects and security specialists will attend the exercise to support the architecture and configuration of the solution,” explained Rajendran.
With Thailand’s digital economy rapidly growing under the government’s 2022-2027 National AI Strategy, Rajendran explained that the need for trustworthy, data-driven intelligence has never been greater.
“Elastic is stepping forward as a key enabler in this ecosystem, helping Thai organizations overcome the “context gap” in modern AI deployment. Elastic serves as a critical partner to help Thailand’s public sector and organizations innovate with generative and agentic AI by connecting AI solutions with data - containing the context and information needed to solve problems,” said Rajendran.
“Beyond this, Elastic also provides solutions for Search, Observability and Security, empowering businesses with a sovereign platform to leverage their data to make better decisions, enhance operational efficiency, drive innovation, elevate customer experiences, ensure resilience, and mitigate security risks,” added Rajendran.
