Keppel and Dell Technologies signed a strategic framework agreement to collaborate on efficient data centres and jointly invest in and develop next-generation AI platforms in Asia.
Keppel Ltd.’s Connectivity division will collaborate with Dell Technologies on efficient data centres and jointly invest in and develop next-generation AI platforms in Asia. Both Keppel and Dell Technologies signed a strategic framework agreement that will also bring AsiaPac Technology (AsiaPac), an Information, Communication Technology (ICT), Cloud and Enterprise solutions provider and a part of Keppel’s Connectivity Division on board.
The partnership will see Keppel’s strong operating capabilities across the areas of energy and sustainability-related infrastructure, real estate and connectivity combined with Dell’s technological expertise, extensive enterprise customer base and advanced infrastructure. As such, the collaboration will uniquely position Keppel and Dell to seize opportunities driven by the rising demand for advanced connectivity solutions.
With an increasing need for reliable, secure and efficient data centres, Keppel and Dell will also collaborate to develop facilities across strategic data hubs in the Asia region. These data centres will incorporate Keppel’s innovative green technologies and renewable energy capabilities.
With AsiaPac on board, the solutions provider will provide cloud integration, infrastructure management services, enterprise solutions and digital transformation consulting starting in high-growth markets such as Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam.
For Keppel, the investment and development of industry-specific AI platforms will focus in sectors such as healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, retail and telecommunications. These platforms aim to deliver highly competitive, differentiated AI solutions to accelerate digital transformation in those sectors.
According to Manjot Singh Mann, CEO, Connectivity, Keppel, the strategic collaboration with Dell exemplifies how Keppel is harnessing its strong relationships with global technology leaders to accelerate the development of its integrated digital ecosystem.
"By combining Dell’s technological expertise, enterprise reach and advanced infrastructure with Keppel’s deep operating capabilities across the digital infrastructure value chain, we will create future-ready, efficient data centres and advanced AI platforms that will support digital transformation across Asia.” Singh said.
Keppel has a longstanding relationship with Dell through AsiaPac. The collaboration encompasses the resale of Dell infrastructure, the delivery of professional services for Dell solutions and support for AI applications tailored for enterprise customers across Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam.
Apart from the strategic partnership with Dell, Keppel also works with other technology leaders such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), with whom Keppel has a global strategic framework agreement to collaborate on data centres, subsea cables, and renewable energy.
The latest strategic framework agreement with Dell augments Keppel’s integrated ecosystem and its ability to offer stronger value propositions to end customers together with its leading technology partners.
