HPE, Equinix, and AGIT establish strategic alliance in Indonesia
The alliance will focus on unlocking Indonesia’s digital ecosystem and accelerating AI adoption for enterprises in the region’s biggest economy.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Equinix Inc, and PT Astra Graphia Information Technology (AGIT), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to begin a strategic alliance to provide private cloud AI solutions to support enterprise needs and boost economic growth in Indonesia.
As businesses look to rely more on the private cloud to run AI workloads, for both cost and regulatory reasons, having the right infrastructure to enable this is key. The alliance between the two tech giants and AGIT will ensure that businesses will be guided in their AI journey.
A subsidiary of PT Astra Graphia Tbk, AGIT is a digital services provider that focuses on providing ICT infrastructure and application-related services. It is regarded as a One Stop Solution Digital Services, supporting both on-premises and cloud infrastructure models. With main pillars in its digital solutions portfolio, AGIT covers the entire journey needed for digital transformation, from digital strategy to the foundation and services required.
Looking at the strategic alliance, it aligns with Indonesia’s National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2020-2045 policy initiated by the Ministry of Communication and Digital Indonesia. The policy serves as a comprehensive framework to guide the development and implementation of AI technologies nationwide.
With the aim of developing a digital ecosystem for AI and digital infrastructure across key industries, such as, finance, manufacturing, and energy, the alliance also aims to elevate local innovation, data residency, and operational resilience, through secure compliant private cloud services hosted in Indonesia.
HPE will be supporting the alliance with its advanced AI capabilities to help businesses move faster, work smarter, and unlock greater value. Specifically, HPE will empower Indonesian businesses to harness data as a strategic asset, turning insight into foresight, optimizing performance, and driving measurable impact at scale.
"This partnership represents a bold strategic move, poised to revolutionise our market approach. By combining HPE's Private Cloud AI Solution with AGIT's robust managed services in Equinix's world-class data centres, we're offering customers across vertical segments unprecedented flexibility and innovation." said Meygin Agustina, Managing Director HPE Indonesia.
For Equinix, the strategic alliance is all about providing digital infrastructure needed for secure, low-latency access to AI workloads and data ecosystems through its more than 270 interconnected data centers in 36 countries.
“When businesses incorporate AI and emerging technologies into their operations, they require interconnection with a robust ecosystem to enhance performance, ensure privacy, and maximize cost-efficiency in their AI strategies. We are excited to partner with HPE and AGIT to support enterprises in accelerating their AI deployment journey,” commented Deon Montasser, Sales Director, Indonesia, Equinix.
Both vendors will be supported by AGIT’s end-to-end services that encompass consulting, system design, infrastructure development, infrastructure as a service, and managed services. Through these services, AGIT aims to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions into enterprise environments while maintaining operational efficiency, data security, and regulatory compliance.
“In the era of accelerated digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a critical enabler for companies to reach new levels of growth, operational excellence, productivity, and efficiency. However, unlocking this AI to full potential is not without challenges. And through this collaboration, we hope to demonstrate that with the right collaboration, AI is not only possible, but also practical and secure for every Enterprise in Indonesia” concluded Widi Triwibowo, President Director PT. Astra Graphia Information Technology.
