South Korea’s LG CNS joins SAP Regional Strategic Services Partner initiative

LG CNS is the first partner from Korea and also the fourth partner in Asia Pacific to join SAP’s Regional Strategic Services Partner initiative.

Leading Korean AI transformation company LG CNS has joined SAP’s Regional Strategic Services Partner (RSSP) initiative. The initiative established by SAP Asia Pacific aims to amplify the capabilities and reach of established partners in the APAC region that are on a rapid growth trajectory.

LG CNS is the first partner from Korea and also the fourth partner in Asia Pacific that joined the RSSP initiative. Other partners in the region include Vietnam’s FPT Software, Japan’s Fujitsu and Singapore’s ABeam Consulting.

SAP will provide strategic support to eligible partners, which may include coordinated industry-aligned solutions, joint go-to-market strategy, and access to SAP regional and market unit industry expertise through the RSSP initiative.

According to Utkarsh Maheshwari, Senior Vice President & Head of Global Partner Sales & Services at SAP, they have a vibrant and fast-growring partner ecosystem in the region.

“Many of our APAC-headquartered partners have thousands of SAP-certified consultants worldwide, delivering hundreds of SAP-related projects every year. We have a unique opportunity to do more with our regional partners and drive more innovations and benefits to customers," said Maheswari.

In an interview with CRN Asia in December 2024, Maheswari stated that it is a great time to be an SAP Partner, especially when it comes to AI as well as the opportunities available in the midmarket in the Asia Pacific region.

Taking a deeper look at the RSSP initiative, LG CNS will now be able scale its SAP practice faster across the APAC region and collaborate more closely with SAP to deliver joint customer success.

The RSSP initiative differs from SAP's existing Global Strategic Services Partner (GSSP) program that includes a select group of the company's most strategic global partners in the consulting, infrastructure, and technology space. Instead, the RSSP initiative aims to facilitate collaboration within partner entities residing in the region that demonstrate capability and capacity requirements specific to the needs of customers in APAC.

For LG CNS, the partnership with SAP allows them to expand its cloud ERP business beyond Korea to the broader Asia-Pacific market. This builds on top of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed with SAP at its headquarters in Walldorf, Germany, back in 2023, and LG CNS has continuously strengthened its cooperation to drive cloud ERP service innovation since then.

"We will actively support clients in the Asia-Pacific region in driving business innovation through cloud ERP. With LG CNS's AX expertise and solutions, we will further enhance client value,” commented Hanshin Nae, Senior Vice President of LG CNS Enterprise Solutions Division.

LG CNS is currently leading the market through innovative system integration and system management projects in finance, manufacturing, the public sector, and various other industries. This includes pioneering various emerging technologies such as the cloud, generative AI, big data, smart factory, smart city, smart logistics and digital marketing.

By combining its accumulated ERP expertise with AI, cloud, and big data technologies,

LG CNS is driving next-generation ERP and SAP S/4HANA migration which enhances the efficiency and stability of cloud ERP. This enables clients to maintain uninterrupted operations even in rapidly changing business environments.

Among the proprietary, proven solutions developed by LG CNS is 'PerfecTwin ERP Edition,' a testing solution that preemptively detects potential errors during the migration of SAP S/4HANA. Another example is 'SINGLEX,' a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform that integrates procurement management, CRM, R&D, quality management, and HR function. These solutions offer differentiated value to SAP clients in the Asia-Pacific region as well.

According to SAP, partners that are looking to qualify for SAP RSSP initiative are required to meet or exceed a defined set of SAP criteria including geographical presence, vertical industry competencies, and alignment on a joint sustainability strategy.
