What does Cohesity’s new Partner Program mean for ASEAN partners?
The Cohesity Aspire Partner Program will make it easier for partners across diverse business models and routes to market to engage with Cohesity.
Cohesity has introduced a new unified partner program called the Cohesity Aspire Partner Program. The new program is built for the modern partner landscape as Cohesity looks to strategize and simplify its partner program following the closing of its acquisition of Veritas.
The new partner program will make it easier for partners across diverse business models and routes to market to engage with Cohesity to drive profitability, unlock new revenue streams, and access certifications and training.
“With the combination of Cohesity and Veritas, we’ve created something truly unique in the market – a leader in AI-powered data security. And that gives us an opportunity to reimagine how we go to market with partners and deliver new innovative solutions at scale,” explained Kit Beall, Chief Revenue Officer at Cohesity.
With Cohesity’s engineering team been working hard to bring the best of both worlds, he highlighted that Cohesity will be unveiling a new unified experience from a single management console in Helios, expanded connectors in NetBackup to deep cloud integrations across the board. Customers will have simplified operations, better protection and faster time to value with solutoisn that they already have in place with either company.
According to Mike Walkey, senior vice president, Global Partner Sales, Cohesity, the Cohesity Aspire Partner Program reimagines how the vendor does business with partners and enable them to succeed.
“We’ve taken a future-forward approach. This empowers faster growth, profitability, and opportunities to stand out in today’s competitive market. It also provides flexibility for partners to ease into emerging technologies like AI or make future shifts in their business model. Just as important, we’ve intentionally designed Aspire with customers in mind to ensure they have complete confidence in knowing their solution is being provided by a proven and trusted Cohesity partner,” said Walkey.
Currently, Cohesity’s partner ecosystem encompasses a variety of partner types. Among them include partners to resell, manage, integrate and distribute, as well as partners for OEM hardware, embedded OEM, technology partners, and the cloud marketplace.
“It brings together all partner types from resellers to distributors, to system integratros and MPS and alliances, all under one framework,” added Beall.
Participants in the new Aspire program will be able to qualify for Premier, Preferred, or Associate tier levels with corresponding benefits. The umbrella program also features an authorized distributor component geared towards bringing more value to Cohesity resellers. All facets of the program are aimed at providing a modern, integrated, built-for-scale experience, starting with a centralised, easy-to-use portal that serves as the gateway to resources and enablement tools.
As Cohesity aims to accelerate partner success, the Aspire program offers value to partners across three dimensions. First, the program will cater towards profitable growth for partners by offering competitive margins, rewards for partner-sourced deals, and performance-based incentives to support partners at every stage of the sales cycle, including joint-go-to-market execution, co-selling, co-branding, pipeline sharing, and marketing and demand generation resources.
It will also provide partners with the technical strength needed to facilitate role-based partner learning opportunities and exclusive Cohesity Accreditations. These multiple certifications further allow technical professionals to demonstrate their Cohesity data management skills and mastery for real-world environments. A special Cohesity Aces program additionally recognises top technical partner experts and brings them into the heart of Cohesity innovation with privileged access, hands-on virtual labs, and more.
Lastly, the program will have a differentiation value for partners by providing multiple paths for expanding partner services and tapping into new revenue streams through partner-delivered professional services, authorized training partner certification, or building and bringing new solutions to market with Cohesity as a Professional-level or Elite-level Cohesity Technology Partner.
Driving revenue for ASEAN partners
Peter Hanna, VP Channel and Alliances APJ, Cohesity highlighted that organizations across the ASEAN region, which range from mid-sized enterprises to large government and commercial sectors, are rapidly modernising their IT environments while facing a sharp rise in cyber threats.
