Dassault Systèmes deepens Malaysia presence with industrial AI, virtual twin push
Upgraded office focuses on Industrial AI and Virtual Twin technology for Malaysian manufacturers, including in electrical and electronics (E&E), automotive and aviation
Dassault Systèmes strengthen its presence in Malaysia following more than two decades of operations in the country with a newly upgraded office in Bandar Utama, Selangor. The upgraded office will serve as a regional and global technology and delivery centre for engagements with leading industry players worldwide.
Spanning 51,000 square feet spanning two floors, the new upgraded office also houses the DELMIA Hub, which builds, delivers and supports Dassault Systèmes’ customers worldwide with advanced planning and scheduling solutions, alongside with regional teams in shared services for finance and digital marketing. It also serves as a regional and global technology and delivery centre for engagements with leading industry players worldwide.
With over 400 employees in Malaysia, Dassault Systèmes has supported the digital transformation of the manufacturing industries such as E&E, automotive and aviation in Malaysia by partnering with government agencies, educational institutions and industry innovators to move up the value chain and to build the digital talents.
The office will support Malaysian manufacturers, including SMEs, in adopting industrial AI and virtual twin technology. By enabling companies to design, simulate and test products digitally before building them, these technologies help ground decisions in their own engineering data and expertise rather than generic tools. Applications include sustainable logistics, product durability and waste reduction.
Samson Khaou, Executive Vice President, Asia Pacific, Dassault Systèmes shared that Malaysia has the strongest opportunity to move up the manufacturing value chain with Industrial AI.
“By combining virtual twin technology with the knowledge and know-how of engineers and industry experts, manufacturers can turn their expertise into practical outcomes, improving product quality, operational efficiency and sustainability. We are proud to deepen our presence in Malaysia, and this new office is where that journey begins,” Khauo said.
The opening aligns with Malaysia’s national initiatives to advance manufacturing capabilities and adopt smart, digitally enabled production. By combining virtual twins with industrial AI, manufacturers can reduce prototyping costs and waste while shortening time to market.
Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital, Malaysia officiated the new office. With digital technology going beyond mobile applications and online services, the minister said that it is the engine powering factories, automotive sector and advanced manufacturing.
“Industrial AI and virtual twin technologies are critical to accelerating Malaysia’s goal of becoming a regional AI hub. Dassault Systèmes’ expanded presence in Malaysia will play a vital role in enabling local industries, especially our SMEs, to adopt cutting-edge digital solutions, innovate faster and compete on a global scale,” he said.
The minister also hopes that Dassault Systèmes commits to measurable goals in the country which will be supported fully by the ministry and MDEC.
"By making technology affordable and offering hands-on training, your company’s initiatives and tools can deliver lasting national value," the minister said.
