FPT launches first ASEAN Salesforce Center of Excellence in Vietnam

In collaboration with Salesforce, the Center of Excellence - Data & AI Innovation in Hanoi will enable real-world data & AI applications and accelerate AI adoption in Vietnam and beyond

FPT has launched the first ASEAN Salesforce Center of Excellence (CoE) - Data & AI Innovation, as part of its deepened collaboration with Salesforce. The center, which is located at FPT Tower in Hanoi, will provide a dedicated environment for financial institutions to explore, experiment, and deploy practical data and AI applications in banking.

The CoE will combine FPT’s deep implementation expertise with Salesforce’s unified platform to help organizations transition from experimentation to real business value and accelerate their journey toward becoming Agentic Enterprises. Both FPT and Salesforce will also use the CoE as a joint innovation hub to co-develop new applications.

According to Nguyen Quoc Dong, Senior Vice President and Chief Delivery Officer, FPT Corporation, financial institutions are entering a new era where data and AI will define how institutions innovate, compete, and serve customers.

Meanwhile, Pravar Gautam, Vice President - Alliances & Channel ASEAN, Salesforce highlighted that the collaboration with FPT represents a significant step in scaling the power of the Agentic Enterprise to more financial services organisations across ASEAN.

“The launch of this Center of Excellence marks a major step forward — giving banks and financial institutions in Vietnam the ability to explore, experiment and deploy AI-driven solutions at scale. By combining Salesforce's Data and AI offerings with FPT's deep implementation expertise, we are equipping financial institutions with everything they need to harness the full potential of Agentforce and become Agentic Enterprises,” Gautam said.

With a partnership of more than a decade, FPT has expanded its Salesforce capabilities with a global team of over 1,000 developers, over 800 certifications, and more than 200 projects delivered globally across industries.

Supporting Vietnam’s AI goals

Taking a deeper look at the CoE in Vietnam, the focus will be on enabling Vietnam’s banking and financial services sector their digital transformation journey. Agentic AI is expected to play a key role in driving financial inclusion, accelerating access to capital and enhancing cross-border connectivity.

With Vietnam, focused on its goal of becoming a high-income economy by 2045, the CoE will also support capability development by providing hands-on training on Agentforce and Data 360, strengthening delivery capabilities and allowing Vietnam’s banking organisations to transform into Agentic Enterprises with ease.

To support the demand, FPT has made significant investments in building dedicated Salesforce capacity and capability in Vietnam. This includes investing in industry-focused accelerators, Salesforce certifications, live experience demos, and validated use cases tailored for the financial services sector.

Interestingly, FPT stated that while the CoE is designed primarily for financial institutions in Vietnam, it will also enable applications across ASEAN. Specifically, the CoE will showcase live agentic banking use cases across the customer journey.

These include a seamless digital onboarding experience that allows customers to open accounts and activate credit services within minutes; an AI-powered financial personalization solution based on individual spending patterns; and intelligent next-step predictions that help banks identify customers ready for new financial opportunities.

It also features real-time customer intelligence connecting interactions across channels, alongside an executive command dashboard powered by Tableau that enables leadership teams to translate complex data into actionable insights.

The center also enables ongoing collaboration to expand data and AI use cases across industries, reinforcing Vietnam’s position as a regional hub for applied AI innovation.
