STT GDC and SuperX debut AI Innovation Centre in Singapore

Initially focused on serving Singapore-based enterprises in the early stages of AI adoption, they aim to support customers across Southeast Asia.

ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) and SuperX AI Technology Limited — a full-stack artificial intelligence data centre infrastructure solutions provider — have launched an AI Innovation Centre (AIC) in Singapore.

The center, hosted at the STT Singapore 5 facility in Tai Seng, will combine STT GDC’s resilient infrastructure with SuperX’s AI orchestration to enable enterprises to fast-track their AI journey from experimentation to production-ready scale in a matter of weeks.

The strategic partners are targeting Singapore-based entities with short-term AI workloads that are looking to test pilots, produce proof of concepts (PoCs), and model benchmarking. This includes enterprises beginning their AI journey, regional businesses with data residency requirements, as well as independent software vendors (ISV) and software-as-a-service (SaaS) providers testing AI-enabled products.

Key features of the AIC include direct access to the latest NVIDIA Blackwell GPU infrastructure, featuring 192GB HBM3e VRAM per GPU, and servers configured with Intel Xeon Gold 6767P CPUs and 400G InfiniBand networking for high-speed data processing.

There is also a dedicated user portal and service catalogue that allows teams to rapidly provision standard GPU plans.

All workloads run locally in Singapore within a secure, resilient environment, meeting the data residency requirements of regulated industries like finance, healthcare, and government-linked entities.

Additionally, qualified customers receive a 14-day free trial to validate performance, compatibility, and cost efficiency, which can enable confident, low-risk decisions before scaling to production.

“The AIC will offer our channel partners another product to sell to their potential end users, because right now [partners] primarily sell co-location as a service,” Mingcheng Lim, country head, Singapore at ST Telemedia Global Data Centers told CRN Asia.

“Some customers may want to test an AI model […] LLM model they want to deploy. With STT, there’s co-location. With the AI Innovation Centre, if they’re interested, they can also work with us and SuperX [on a trial]. Then if that’s successful, they can go into production.”

At the AIC launch, SuperX’s chief technology officer Kenny Sng explained that the offering is ideal for enterprises on their transformation journey as it tackles the topmost challenges with adoption and deployment: cost and complexity.

Sng shared that there are no hidden costs, with bundled packages for AI pilots and PoCs. Optional value-added services are also priced separately, and there are no long-term hyperscale commitments.

“This is a good niche area that we are targeting […] enterprises that are not too big for the hyperscale stuff, also not too small,” said Lim.

“We are starting with Singapore and hopefully we also bring it to other parts of where we are in Southeast Asia and beyond as well.”

Following Singapore, the partners aim to offer the solution across STT GDC’s markets, namely Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

His team is optimistic in realizing the ambition despite strong competition across the region.

“There’s always competition everywhere you go, especially in the current [AI] environment,” said Lim. “What differentiates us is we are the only provider with presence across the six countries.

“We do have the hyperscale customers that are present across multiple countries and they [work with] us because they know that we are trusted and reliable [with] operational expertise. Also, we have a strong sales team in each of the market, led by [Group Chief Revenue Officer] Chris Street.

“At the end of the day, it’s more a matter of trust and then getting the customer's confidence. And also the availability of power and land to support these workloads.”
