Andy Lee joins as General Manager of Alibaba Cloud Singapore from Google Cloud.
Alibaba Cloud has appointed Andy Lee as the General Manager of Alibaba Cloud Singapore. An industry veteran with over two decades of experience across AI, cloud, infrastructure, and cybersecurity, Lee’s new role will see him drive the reach of Alibaba Cloud Singapore in cloud and AI.
Prior to joining Alibaba Cloud Singapore, Lee led the Public Sector team at Google Cloud, driving the adoption of GenAI for public good. Hea also spent over 17 years at Cisco as a Managing Director, where he built high-performance teams, fostered a culture of innovation, and earned recognition for attracting and developing top talent.
With a passion about technology that makes a difference, Lee envisions harnessing GenAI as a shared intelligence - transcending borders, amplifying resilience, and creating opportunities through inclusion, upskilling, and community impact.
Singapore continues to be a major market for Alibaba Cloud. In July 2025, the Chinese tech vendor marked a decade of operations in Singapore as well as unveiled infrastructure investments, a new AI competency center, as well as advanced cloud and AI technologies.
Alibaba Cloud also unveiled its first AI Global Competency Center (AIGCC) in Singapore last year which it hopes will accelerate AI adoption by supporting enterprises of all sizes. The center is designed to support over 5,000 businesses and 100,000 developers, offering access to advanced AI models and powerful computing resources to accelerate experimentation and deployment.
Given Lee’s experience in the tech industry, especially in driving digital transformation in the public sector, his appointment will be a strong boost to Alibaba Cloud’s capabilities in Singapore in 2026.
