CrowdStrike strengthens leadership presence in APAC

Jonathan Dixon is CrowdStrike’s Vice President and Managing Director for the JAPAC region.

CrowdStrike has appointed Jonathon Dixon as Vice President and Managing Director for the Japan and Asia Pacific (JAPAC) region. A cybersecurity veteran with more than 25 years of experience in IT leadership, Dixon’s appointment comes as CrowdStrike looks to boost its presence in the region, especially in the increasing demand for AI-powered cybersecurity.

Apart from driving AI-powered cybersecurity transformation through the adoption of the CrowdStrike Falcon platform, Dixon will also focus on driving success with partners and alliances in the region.

“JAPAC leadership and entire team, we're off to a fast start to evolve CrowdStrike's presence and build momentum throughout JAPAC. To our customers, being "Fanatical about the Customer" is one of CrowdStrike's core values and this mantra will continue to drive my teammates as we support you in strengthening your organisation's security posture,” said Dixon in a LinkedIn post announcing his new role.

He also stated that CrowdStrike will focus on strengthening go-to-market motions and empower mutual customers with the security capabilities required in the AI era/demanded by today's threat landscape through partners and alliances.

“To all the CrowdStrikers - especially those in JAPAC - I look forward to working closely with you all to strengthen our position as the JAPAC region's cybersecurity leader and helping our customers stop breaches,” he added.

Prior to joining CrowdStrike, Dixon was vice president and managing director of Japan and Asia-Pacific at Verkada, where he led go-to-market (GTM) and operational teams, scaling Verkada’s market presence across the region. Dixon also served as vice president and managing director for Asia Pacific, Japan, and Greater China (APJC) at Cloudflare, where under his leadership APJC became the company’s fastest growing theater.

Dixon also held roles at AWS, Cisco, and IBM, where he led multi-billion-dollar regional business segments and driven strong revenue growth through his GTM expertise, channel development, and operational excellence.

“We are pleased to welcome Jonathon as we continue to build momentum across JAPAC. He brings a rare mix of regional insight and experience scaling businesses, which will be critical to our continued growth in the region,” Michael Sentonas, president of CrowdStrike said.

For Sentonas, JAPAC is an important growth theater as organizations modernize their security for the AI era.

“Under Jonathon’s leadership, we will continue to expand our presence across the region and support more organizations in strengthening their security posture, as traditional approaches struggle to keep pace with today’s threat landscape,” Sentonas added.

Apart from announcing his new role, Dixon also shared several other leadership announcements in the JAPAC region. These include Tim Clemens as CrowdStrike’s new VP for the A/NZ region, Debra Sutton as the new VP, Marketing, JAPAC, Mike J. Byrne as the new VP, Professional Services, JAPAC, Paul Salmon as the new VP, Horizon, JAPAC
and Neil Solanki as the new Director, Sales Excellence, JAPAC.
