Workday has appointed John Lombard as President for Asia Pacific. Having spent a decade as APAC CEO for NTT Data, Lombard will now oversee Workday’s regional go-to-market strategy, commercial operations, and continued expansion across key APAC markets.

This includes focusing on scaling the business in the region, deepening the partner ecosystem, and helping customers leverage the Workday platform to drive operational efficiency and growth.

With over three decades of experience in the tech industry, Lombard also had senior leadership roles at SAP, KMPG Australia and Crowe Howarth. During his tenure at NTT Data, he led the company through one of its most successful periods in the region. Lombard has also helped enterprises navigate diverse regulatory landscapes, modernize their technology foundations, and scale through data-driven strategies.

Commenting on his appointment, Lombard said Asia Pacific is an epicenter of global innovation, presenting an incredible opportunity for businesses to leverage intelligent technology for a competitive edge and Workday is uniquely positioned to help them do that.

"I am thrilled to join the team at this pivotal moment to deepen our regional relationships and support our customers through their digital transformation,” he said.

For Rob Enslin, President and Chief Commercial Officer, Workday, John’s appointment comes at a critical juncture as APAC organizations increasingly look to AI to elevate employee experiences and optimize financial performance.

"His deep regional expertise, customer-first mindset, and proven track record of building high-performing teams will be instrumental as we scale our operations and help businesses unlock the full potential of the Workday platform,” Enslin said.
