Okta appoints Dan Mountstephen to lead APJ growth plans
Mountstephen will be responsible for setting regional strategy, scaling go-to-market execution, and accelerating partner-led growth in the region.
Dan Mountstephen has joined Okta as Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region. In his new role, Mountstephen will focus on leading Okta’s next phase of growth across the region.
An industry veteran in the region, Mountstephen was most recently at Saviynt, and has more than 20 years of leadership experience. He also held senior roles at Cisco, Motorola and Siemens.
Given the increasing challenges in identity security with the increasing adoption of AI, organizations in the region will need to ensure they have a well planned strategy to ensure their employees are well protected. With the increasingly complex threat environment, organizations will need to secure every identity, human and non-human, to maintain trust and resilience.
For Okta, this is a critical situation which the vendor believes it can help organizations deal with. With Okta’s next phase of growth across focused on securing identity for cybersecurity, digital transformation, and the safe adoption of AI, Mountstephen will be responsible for setting regional strategy, scaling go-to-market execution, and accelerating partner-led growth to deepen Okta’s relationship with the region’s largest enterprises and public sector organizations.
